You’re in the Kentucky countryside, so it’s not uncommon to see deer, bunnies, birds, or the occasional insect or critter. We use regular pest control to help minimize surprises.

We had a great time here! It’s perfectly located near Nolin Lake and Mammoth Cave. After a long day of seeing all the sites we enjoyed grilling out on the large deck and watching a family of deer each evening. Also, the hot tub came in handy. The place is in excellent condition and the host was available if needed for any questions.

We loved our experience staying in this beautifully furnished home. The process was easy and the house was lovely. The host thought of everything, from board games and books, to plenty of space to sit outside, and great hot drink options (coffee, tea, etc). The furniture and furnishings are clean and high quality. The neighborhood has almost no traffic, so the birds are the only sounds outside. Highly recommend!

This property is easy to travel to, quiet and peaceful, and when you get there. It has new decorations and comforts of home that make the stay enjoyable and wish it was yours. Our group cooked a large dinner and there were plenty of amenities so we didn't run out of plates, silverware, utensils, pots, and pans. The grill was a big help too! Communication with the property owner has been fast when we have asked questions and needed information. I would recommend this location if you are looking for a quiet, quick getaway any time.

The home is stunning. We had a few issues with grill and oven but otherwise the home was exactly as described internally. Host sent a sweet treat from the local baker for our troubles with appliances which was such a grand gesture! Location wise I wish I had realized how close all the neighbors were to left and in front. We knew the one home next door on right was really close but they actually were gone all weekend due to the holiday I suppose. Saturday and Sunday were noisy from people where we would have preferred serenity. You can hear everything people are talking about next door on other side of trees so I am sure they could hear us too. Crying and playing children, we counted 10, from across the road was not the landlords issue but holiday stays could be noisier and should be considered. Monday however was quiet after people left. Supplies like only two trash bags for 4 nights could be improved. We would recommend to others and stay again if we needed to while in the area.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review and for choosing our home for your stay! We’re delighted to hear that you found the house stunning and appreciated the sweet treat—we always want our guests to feel valued and cared for, especially when unexpected issues arise. And when we can support a local, small business in showing our gratitude, it truly is the cherry on top!
We’re truly sorry about the inconvenience with the grill and oven and have since had both inspected to ensure everything is in proper working order for future guests. We also appreciate your feedback regarding supplies and have reiterated appropriate amounts with our cleaning team.
Regarding the neighborhood, we understand how important peace and quiet can be while on vacation. Our home is situated in a family-friendly community, and the long holiday weekend may have contributed to a higher-than-usual level of activity on our quiet street. Many of our guests do find it wonderfully peaceful during weekdays and non-peak times.
We’re grateful for your recommendation and would be thrilled to welcome you back anytime you’re in the area again! For those considering a stay, our home is perfect for travelers who value stylish interiors, thoughtful hosting, and a convenient location close to local attractions—while still offering a peaceful and relaxing retreat during quieter times.
