About this property

BEAUTIFUL VIEWS ~ SPACIOUS 2 BDRM / 2 BATH ~ 150 STEPS TO STUPA & TRAILS

Sage Cottage sits near the base of Capitol Butte aka Thunder Mountain. It's light and cheerful with lots of space inside and out, allowing guests plenty of room for themselves and their things. The large covered carpeted deck is an extension of the home, most excellent for morning coffee and evening drinks. The deck boasts significant views and steps to a shaded patio and xeriscape grounds. Several Sedona landmarks can be seen from the property.

Something special about our location: Sage Cottage is only 150 steps (count them ;) to the Amitabha Stupa Peace Park. The 'stoopa' is a unique area adorned with prayer flags and meditation spots. And it connects to some of the best trails in Sedona. (Please follow signs and respect this special area.)

We have 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Both bedrooms are connected to a bathroom. The kitchen is stocked to the max. Our cooling system is excellent. We have plenty of pillows and bedding and games (and movies). Our information book is full of pictures and ideas and house details, and is updated regularly.

Sedona is dog-friendly and we happily welcome pets. That said, not all pets make good guests. Our furniture and bedding are light in color, and our yard has no grass and is only partially fenced. Please keep these things in mind when considering to bring your pets.

Being one of the original International Dark Sky Communities, Sedona follows low light restrictions which makes for very dark nights and an abundance of stars. We have more stars than Hollywood. (ba-da-bing!)

If you are looking for a comfortable home that welcomes you the moment you walk in, you’ve found the right place. We host many repeat guests. Sage Cottage is close to conveniences, but far enough away to not hear them. Our area is clean, extremely quiet, and unpretentious. The neighborhood is delightful for walking ~ don’t forget your straw hat !

Our guest limit is 6 - this is a total of 4 adults and 2 children. We are happy to answer questions prior to booking.

We have stayed here several times and it is always wonderful. This property is a love letter to Sedona. The colors are the beautiful blue Sedona sky and the orange of the beautiful rock formations at sunset. There is nothing more special than coffee on the porch in the morning and cocktails in the evening. The scenery is spectacular. The location is perfect and has everything you will need for a Sedona experience.

We love to be outdoors ... we love our “deck-time”. We originally started renting our home out of a need - which has evolved into a pleasure, who would have known? We are happy to share our Sage Cottage and "deck-time" with other people who enjoy it as we do.

Why they chose this property

Like many, we fell in love with Sedona on our first visit and kept going back. We explored many areas before stumbling on our little treasure in West Sedona. We consider ourselves fortunate.

What makes this property unique

Sage Cottage is one-tenth of a mile from red dirt. This means most of your walking will actually be on a trail, not in a car and not on pavement trying to get to your destination. Our yard is a xeriscape desert garden surrounded by a funky "old Sedona" rock wall. The deck is covered and carpeted and huge. The views from the deck cap off a good day. From the mouths of Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs (via Beverly Hillbillies) ..."Take yer shoes off & sit a spell!"
