This house was immaculate. Because it was we were able to relax into our stay. Beautiful gardens. Many comfortable places to sit both inside and outside. The hosts were great communicators. The outside deck has comfortable furniture and a gate so our fur baby could safely hang out with us.

Wonderful stay

Although the weather was less than perfect with hurricane lee heading our way, there was plenty to do. It's a short walk to town and the property itself has everything you could.want or need. Our adult children enjoyed the kayaks and we all enjoyed the decks, chef's kitchen, and firepit. Karen and Alden are excellent hosts!

Great Maine Experience

My family and I loved everything about our stay in Mill Cove. The house was a relaxing escape in the heart of Mill Cove and Boothbay Harbor, that had all the feelings of our personal home away from home. Special Place, Great Stay

Exceeded expectations. The home was as-described, immaculately clean, and well-equipped. The location can't be beat - easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants, but still right on the water and private. The grounds and landscaping are beautiful, and kayaking from the dock couldn't be better. We hope to return!

Amazing property and home

We loved everything about it - the home was so eclectic, warm and charming! The location was perfect for a walk to town or short drive to nearby attractions. The dock was perfect for fishing and even our furbaby loved the views from the house to the upper deck and docks! Karen and Alden have it mastered!

Perfect location and house

This is a great property with great location for walking into town. The kayaks and fishing poles were great for the kids. They loved exploring cove and old sunken ships! This house made our family a lot of memories. Karen also is a great host meeting us at house and giving us a walkthrough and even a cake for my wife’s and mother in law birthday!

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at Karen and Alden’s home. Everything was right on from Karen greeting us and the weather. Coming from Florida it was a joy with the weather. Family vaca

Had a great time at Mill Cove. Our first vacation since 2019 with our Luna (Husky) that we got right before covid. My husband and I enjoyed having all 3 kids with their husbands and girlfriend along with our little grandson who just turned 1. What a great spot and close to town where we walked alot! Just hanging by the fire pit at night was perfect! The hosts couldn't have been nicer. Thank you for letting our family enjoy your home!

Fabulous

Karen and Alden are the quintessential Maine hosts. They are both very pleasant, very informative, and very proud of their lovely home in the cove. The accommodations were perfect for our group of 6 and there was plenty of room for more people. Everything was neat and clean inside. The gardens were beautiful outside and the walk into Booth Bay Harbor was easy and convenient. It was a very memorable stay for our family and will look forward to staying at Mill Cove again in the future!

Incredible Stay!

This property was amazing. It was clean, beautifully decorated, and the hosts added so many thoughtful touches. The kitchen was fully equipped. There were plenty of linens. The beds were comfortable. The close proximity to town meant we didn’t have to worry about crowded downtown parking in Boothbay Harbor, but the space was secluded enough for privacy and quiet. Karen and Alden were quick to respond when we needed them and gave us a good run-down on how everything worked in their home at check-in. I can’t recommend this property enough!

WEATHER AND LOCATION!! Walk or short drive to town; GOREGEOUS views, gardens and home! Karen and Alden go above and beyond to make sure you have every thing you need and to feel like you’re in your own home!! Incredible kitchen, deck, fire pit for s’mores, kayaks! I walked the gardens every morning to see new blossoms from so many varieties of flowers! Even blueberries!! Boothbay Harbor is the coolest, friendliest town!

Slice of Heaven

My family and I stayed at this home in August and had a wonderful relaxing vacation. The house is situated in an amazing location with easy access to town and a wonderful view of Boothbay Harbor. The grounds of the home are absolutely gorgeous as Alden and Karen are master Dahlia growers. The home was also super well stocked. We cooked at home a couple of nights and everything you could need was right there. This was one of the most well stocked rentals we have ever rented. With any luck, we will return again next summer.

An amazing home in beautiful Boothbay Harbor!

We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay in this amazing home. We were celebrating my mother's 91st birthday and my sister's 70th birthday. Karen and Alden even gave my sister a birthday card and beautiful flowers. The kitchen was incredible and all herbs and spices were provided. Karen baked us a delicious blueberry cake. We had crab meat rolls and lobster on the dock in the water - simply unforgettable. We can highly recommend this property and we we definitely return some day. Thank you Karen and Alden.

The best week ever!

I booked on a whim deciding that I finally deserved a real vacation and had no idea what to expect. This property as well as Karen & Alden blew my expectations out of the water. From s'mores by the fire, swimming and looking for crabs off the dock, relaxing on the decks, kayaking, treasure hunts and games in the yard, and enjoying the quirky, comfy and functional house (the kitchen is outstanding), we can't wait to return for years to come!
