Charming,1 BR Loft cottage in the woods--walk to the village of Bar Harbor & Acadia Nat'l Park!.

This lovely custom cottage is light-filled and beautifully appointed with a cozy first floor open living/dining/kitchen combination and vaulted ceiling. The comfy window seat is a great place to kick back and sip your morning coffee and watch a visiting family of deer in the woods. On chilly nights the small gas heater will add to the cozy comfort. Just off this space is the bathroom with a shower, with on-demand unlimited hot water. A spiral staircase leads to the open loft queen bedroom overlooking the living space and its window seat and wall of windows. Out the back door of the cottage is a deck with bistro set and a gas grill, a view of the woods and Eddie Brook.

New 2025: AC Heat Pump has been added to provide comfortable temperature for guest. .

Located in quiet neighborhood in the woods, Acorn Cottage is a lovely custom cottage just 1/4 mile from the village of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Also, for golfers, Kebo Valley Golf Course is nearby. Walk to the picturesque village and explore the shops. With an individual pass to the park you can hop aboad one of the free Island Explorer busses that will take you all around Acadia National Park and Mount Desert Island, you can even load up your bike. Just up the hill a short walk is Acadia National Park and the Loop Road; Duck Brook Road is an access point to the wonderful Rockefeller Carriage Roads, 50 miles of motor free roads for hiking and biking.
