Jones Oaks: rural, private, kid friendly, near D&H Rail Trail, Elk Mtn

Located on a country dirt road, near the D&H Rail-Trail, nestled on 4 acres among pines & hardwoods, you truly feel like you're secluded in your own world. The house has a cozy, farmhouse feel with all the modern comforts of a home away from home & is also fun for kids! It sleeps 7 plus a sofa, queen sleeper sofa, & room for air mattresses too. There is a large covered back deck, backyard fire pit, BBQ Grill, plus a kitchen equipped with all you need for entertaining--just add food & drink! We don't mind large groups but do not allow parties. Kids will find toys, books, movies & games indoors and fun outdoor stuff too! It is a short walk/bike ride to the D&H Rail-Trail for outdoor activity. We have a small pond within walking distance that you are welcome to explore, picnic, swim, fish, rowboat. All that you need is in the pond cottage: life jackets, fishing poles, tackle box, rowboat/oars. We are equal distances to Scranton, PA and Binghamton, NY--both are approx. 45 minute ride.

Pamela is a awesome host. The house is beautiful & very clean. The house is very close to the D&H trail which was perfect for our bicycle riding.we absolutely enjoyed staying here, it was very comfortable & relaxing. We will definitely stay at Pamela's house again. I highly recommend staying here

Ski Trip Stay

Wonderful Weekend Stay!

If you are looking for a weekend away or in the area for a wedding, this is the perfect house for you! We absolutely loved our stay. The host was in contact from the beginning & everything went super smooth! The beds were super comfortable & lots of extra blankets were available! Perfect for little kids! Very large yard to run around in & plenty of toys indoors & outdoors! If we ever are heading that way or need a weekend away, we will definitely stay here again! 10/10 recommend! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality! :)
