Location, location, location! You will love the location at Murphy's Riverside Cottage, right on the river and against a backdrop of the peaks in Rocky Mountain National Park! Built in the 1920s, this adorable, tucked-away cabin features vintage decor throughout. Remember the fun of staying at camp? That's the vibe you'll enjoy at Murphy's! Make sure you've packed the marshmallows and Hershey bars for evenings out on the large deck that spans the rear of the cabin and overlooks the beautiful Big Thompson River. Fishermen can have private river access from this property. Wildlife such as deer and elk are known to wander across the river in the evenings.
Murphy's Riverside Cottage is a charming gray Craftsman-style cabin trimmed in crisp white. Step through the front door and enter the light-filled dining area and vintage kitchen. A modern full-size refrigerator and stove line the left wall and you'll find cupboards amply supplied with dishes, silverware, utensils, pots, and pans for cooking your vacation meals. Behind the kitchen, there is a full bathroom complete with a cast-iron clawfoot tub, retro-fitted for those who prefer to shower. Beyond the bathroom be the first to claim the ""Cowboy Bedroom"" with its collection of Old West memorabilia, a pair of cowboy boots in the corner and an antique Full-size bed. With the river just beyond the windows, you'll love sleeping to the sound of the rushing water. From the Cowboy Bedroom, you step into the hall and wander into the Living Room. A wall of knotty pine warms this room that is the heart and soul of the cabin. A floor-to-ceiling electric fireplace provides a warm and rustic focal point with a flat-screen TV on the left for watching movies. Across the room, a window-wrapped corner table overlooking the river is the best spot for games and puzzles. An antique writing desk is perfect for filling out postcards. From the Living Room, double doors open to the Riverside bedroom at the back of the cabin. Snuggle under the quilts on the antique Queen bed as you listen to the river rushing by. On the other side of the Living Room, French doors open to a spacious sun porch. Enjoy this light-filled room. Back in the hall and just before the kitchen, you'll find a laundry room with a full-size stacked washer and dryer. Across the hall from the laundry room, you'll find the back door to the deck. Your whole vacation could be spent on this great deck with the views, the big picnic table for 8, a propane grill and a private hot tub. The owner has rods and reels for fishing available for guests (fishing does require a CO fishing license). Guests will need to provide their own tackle. Murphy's Riverside Cottage is the perfect fusion of history and charm. Book your vacation experience at this Rocky Mountain cabin today!
