We arrived on Saturday and the property was very noisy due to the footsteps of upstairs guests. Also the weekend had loud noise next to us due to the tube bus pickup (which is next door). Lastly, the property could use a thorough deep clean. Roaches were present, there was a broken shower handle, and there was dirt on the floor and kitchen sink.

Hello Alex! This area is VERY busy during our peak summer season. Anytime you rent a ground floor unit it can be expected that you may hear your neighbors walking above. People mainly come here in Summer to tube the Comal river and go to Schlitterbahn, which is right across the street, so yes you can also expect to hear those shuttles passing during the day. We have all properties professionally cleaned after each stay and serviced by pest control quarterly. At no time during your stay did we receive any complaints from you or we would have addressed the latter issues had there been any. Great Time Great Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the perfect location for pick up from the river or you can walk from the last public exit to this place with no problem. It is right there! You can also walk to the bridge and put in there for a shorter float. Perfect location to get out and run up to this place and then back in to finish the float if you wanted to. The location is perfect.

Beautiful location on the Comal

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, a great stay. Location is good on the Comal. Lots of good people watching. Bring a paddle board if you’re into that. However, it’s a bit of a walk to the water which was hard for my 70 year old mother. Beds were ok. The unit should have a BBQ pit on back porch. The management company was okay....a little too strict/stern for me. I don’t appreciate being spoken to like a young adult.

Wendy, This complex does have communal charcoal grills available to all guests on the property. Due to a fire hazard, we are unable to put a firepit on the back porch. We are sorry that you feel you were spoken to as a young adult, as we did not have much communication throughout your stay besides our automated messages that are sent to all of our guests. Nice river view

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I rent condos from New Braunfels Escapes for several years now. They are so easy to work with and easy to reach. Comal Vista c113 was a very clean unit. Teh beds were comfortable, the kitchen well supplied and checkout was easy. The master bedroom shower floor was very slippery even with the floor mat. The patio was very large with a beautiful view of the river. The unit was on the opposite side of the property from the pool, where we spent a large amount of time. I was not impressed with the river entrance. very small and the water was deep at that particular spot. Went to Schlitterbaun the day of our arrival, way too expensive for the number of people and the length of time we had to wait to get on a water ride was ridiculous. And that was in the middle of the week. Di's pizza was a short walk from the condo and the pizza was great.

Camp Warnecke River Trip

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Camp Warnecke many times. In several different condos. It is the best place to stay. We have never been disappointed until this trip. The condo and river were perfect. We were very unhappy with the leasing company. We have always been given an access code to enter before we got there and are instructions, wrist wands and parking passes were in the condo. This leasing company (New Braunfels Escape) made us drive out of our way to their office to pick up everything and we had to return the wrist bands to their office when we left. They would not let us leave them in the condo. They also charge $100 per wrist band if you lose one in the river. You can buy a cheap rubber wrist band that looks like these in gift shops for under $2. The Leasing company needs to be more accommodating to people as we have to drive along way to stay here, and we have other choices. I give the Condo an A+ and I give the Leasing company an F. Stop being lazy and provide better service to your customers.

Ginger, we are not able to drop off parking passes and wristbands to every unit because we manage over 140 properties in the area and the summer season is our busiest not our laziest. Our office is less than a mile away, we're sorry that was too far for you. The HOA by the name of Aquity only provides us with one set per unit, so yes, we do have to be very strict on the wristbands, please feel free to reach out to them with any grievances. We do charge for any wristbands that are lost or not returned however it would not be $100 per wristband, as you can imagine that verbiage does make it clear to the guest to please return them, we only charge a small fee. We hope you can find a rental company that best suits your needs. Thanks, NBE.
