Cozy cabin with gazebo, gas fire pit and hot tub

Welcome to the Rimrock Hideaway and our own little slice of woodsy heaven. Our tiny little cabin is tucked into the hillside of tall pines and beautiful birch trees that call for you to relax among nature and just enjoy the views. If you like mountain views and still like to venture into town, this is the place to stay.

Come sit outside with our gas fire pit and chairs under a gazebo that allows you to view fields of green, gold or silver depending on the time you stay with us. At any time, you could see an abundance of wildlife from white tailed deer, bald eagles, elk, our Rimrock resident moose, turkeys galore and even the occasional sneaky racoon. Do you like to grill and commune with nature? We have you covered there as well with a full gas BBQ Grill and accessories at your convivence. Need to recharge and relax - then come enjoy sitting in a hot tub under the stars. Is listening to the birds and watching the sun come over the hills with a steaming cup of coffee in your hands more to your likening, then there is front porch with a couch calling your name.

The Rimrock Hideaway has a fully furnished kitchen and living room for you to enjoy. The couch turns into a queen-sized bed for additional sleeping and the coffee table can lift into your lap if you need to work on your laptop from the comfort of the couch. There is a flat screen smart TV that is connected to Wi-Fi and ready for you to watch. There is also an electric fireplace to make it warm and cozy on those nights when it can get a bit chilly.

The bedroom is filled with a king-sized bed that calls for you to lay down and stay a while. The bedroom boasts a full-sized closet for your belongings and a window with a view. There is also a full-size washer and dryer on the premises for your stay.

We are between Coeur d’ Alene and Sandpoint, but you can still have endless opportunities to have fun. Silverwood is a mere 10 minutes to the north and is a great summer playground. Sandpoint is beautiful anytime of the year and Coeur d’Alene has shopping, parks, dining, and amazing lake activities. Hayden has restaurants like Parallel 47 and low-key dining like Capones. Honeysuckle beach is just 10 minutes from the Rimrock Hideaway and has incredible mountains to gaze at while sitting on the beach. Hayden also has Triple Play with go carts, laser tag and an indoor waterpark. So, whether you are looking for comfortable and relaxing moments wrapped in nature or for easy access to many amenities – the Rimrock Hideaway has you covered.

Please note: our little retreat is off the main road going into the national forest just located down the road so at times it can be noisy. With all the rolling hills surrounding us you will also see many people riding their bikes or training for Iron Man as well.

Cozy weekend getaway

We loved our stay at this cozy cabin. It was very cute, clean place. We enjoyed using the hot tub and fireplace during the chilly evenings. It was in a good location to where we felt a little secluded, but also not far from good dining and fun. We had breakfast at Belle’s Brunch House and spent some time in CDA, then to come back and enjoy a quiet evening in the cabin. We hope to visit again in the future!

Everything was as lovely as I hadhoped it would be. The hot tub was phenomenal and the location was secluded and private, but still close enough to town that exploring the area was easy. The hosts also have really laid back rules and checking out was so simple. I only regret that we didn't stay an additional night.

Awesome place and so close to Silverwood!!

We loved this little place. Enough space and comfort for a family of 4. Loved having the hottub after a long day of walking at Silverwood and Couer d'alene. So close to everything you need, even tho you are in the country. Super clean and beds were comfortable. It was nice we could do laundry too. Don't hesitate....just book it!!

Great little place

This is just the right size if it's just one person or a couple. Location is great. Just far enough away from the hwy to be peaceful and quiet and the hot tub was a great plus to the package deal. The owners were really good about staying in contact and working with me, even when there was nothing to do or fix. Just a friendly check in, which always nice. I will definitely book this place again.

Incredible House!

Kristina’s house was incredible! It was the perfect getaway with beautiful views and much needed solace. We loved the decor throughout the house and on the property. It was super cozy, welcoming, and clean. I appreciated how all of the light switches and cabinets were labeled for easy use. I highly recommend this beautiful house and hope to stay here again!

Cozy little cabin, Everything You Need

Enjoyed our stay at this cozy little cabin. The place was extremely clean and well-maintained. Had all the amenities of a hotel, including a fully stocked kitchen with new appliances, and all the pots/pans and utensils one might need to cook. And on top of all that: an amazing spice rack with almost every spice you could want! Now that is something we have never seen at any other rental before. Excellent stay, will return.

Silverwood family vacation

We stayed here for our first family vacation to a theme park. It was the perfect location. Only about 10 minutes from the park. The hot tub was amazing after walking around all day! The house was equiped with everything we needed. Even a fan for white noise. The view of the field across the street was so peaceful! We even saw a few deer. We will definitely be back.

LOVE this rental

This was our second time staying (once when it was about -5 out and one while it was 80+ degrees). Both times were amazing! The property is very clean, amply stocked with dishes and everything you need to cook, a Kurig and coffee pods, and toiletries. The property is mostly quiet ( little Road noise but not much) and in a beautiful wooded setting. The host is attentive and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Weekend Getaway

This home was absolutely perfect for myself and husband. Kristina has put so much effort into creating a clean and nice place to stay for guests. Literally everything felt brand new. She was also very communicative and we knew she would help with anything if we needed it. We especially enjoyed the hot tub with the beautiful view of the neighboring field and all the aspen trees. This will absolutely be our first choice of homes if we are in the area again!

Proximity to our event

We chose this property because of its location (less than 10 minutes drive) to our 5-day event and because it had a king size bed. We brought our own bedding because we use natural fibers for our bedding at home. The only CON in our stay for which we offer constructive feedback would be to consider investing in a natural fiber mattress or Sleep Number mattress because the memory foam mattress in the bedroom is a synthetic, non-breathable material, it absorbs your body heat, and then reflects it back at you. The PROS of this property for us include the kitchen and being able to prepare our own food in a clean space with full size refrigerator/freezer, stovetop and oven. We also liked the shower and bathtub combo--allowing flexibility to soak in the tub after a long day. Communication with the host was stellar! She is gracious, honest, and accommodating. The property is clean and smells neutral, which we liked. Thank you!

Why they chose this property

The drive to our home is one of my favorites. When we were looking for our new home and took the drive up Rimrock and the area, we were in love. The trees, the fields at sunset is my absolute favorite.

What makes this property unique

Our hideaway is just that, it's a little bit out of town but still close. We are surrounded by the outdoors and still have access to so many fun things to do. You can hear the birds through out the day and in the evening, the frogs and crickets - it is my favorite place to be.
