We had a wonderful week on Lake Champlain. We loved kayaking and canoeing on the lake. The dock was perfect for the kids and our dog to play while the parents relaxed on the deck in hammocks. The beach is rocky, but smooth sand once you are in the water. We enjoyed many nights grilling looking out over the lake. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and eat meals. Lots of games and puzzles for a rainy day, and nice cozy seating in the living room. Gorgeous view out the front window from the dining table to eat breakfast and drink coffee. We really appreciated the prompt communication from the host whenever we had questions. Perfect week!

We had a wonderful time in this house right on the lake. We loved the beach and the great boating and swimming dock. We borrowed kayaks and had some magical trips across Corlear Bay. We saw eagles and the views from the house and the water are spectacular!! Phil, our host, was very responsive when we asked any questions. The house is older and needs some things done, but, if you can handle a stiff patio door and a lttle peeling paint, it is a great family vacation place. We cooked full meals in the well stocked, modern kitchen.

While the location, views and access to the lake were absolutely gorgeous, we were sadly disappointed with the state of the property upon arrival. It was unclear in the listing that this was a fresh listing, and the advertised pictures of the house did not reflect the current state of the property. It was clear that the property had not been properly prepared for visitors. The lack of cleanliness caused my family and I to feel uncomfortably dirty. The refrigerator was completely full of food, leaving no room for my family and I to store the provisions we brought with us for our trip. There was no available air conditioning and it was clear that a dog frequents the property contributing to the lack of cleanliness. The host did arrive at the property to check in, we let him know how we felt and they took immediate action. They did notify us that this was their first time hosting and we were their first guests. We gave our feedback, but it would have been beneficial if we knew what we were walking in to beforehand.
