Nice Weekend Getaway

Overall, staying at this property was great! We had a fun weekend of hanging out and lounging around. Things we enjoyed about the property were: - how spacious the home was. Plenty of space for the 7 people we had there - the aesthetic of the place was so cute and modern, so it was fun to take pictures - the tables were nice and big and so they fit everyone and were great for playing games - the back yard was a good size, got lots of sunlight. It was still a little too cold to go swimming, so we just laid out, but the backyard was great for hanging out - Lots of bathrooms which made it easy for everyone and lots of space in the bedrooms. - Tons of big TVs - Great parking and the neighborhood was quiet so we didn’t have any disturbances - Location was great in that everything was within 20 mins and we never had to drive on the freeway so we avoided traffic. Airport was only 15 mins away. - When we didn’t have items that were needed, we contacted the host, who immediately provided solutions or sent things over via Amazon to the home. - Easiness of checking in and out. Super simple. Things that we wished could have been a little better: - overall cleanliness of the place when we arrived was not great. We had to wash all of the dishes before using them. There were lots of random hairs around the beds, bathrooms, towels. And the microwave had food all over inside. - The towels for the bathrooms would work for children but were very small for adults. - There wasn’t enough toilet

Pros: The house was ideal for our large group of 11. It was spacious with 4 large bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Each bathroom had a shower and one of them had a deep, but small bathtub. The rooms themselves were big. Nice sized pool (not heated). Two decent sized living rooms and large dining table that seated all 11 of us.The house is in a quiet neighborhood. Ample seating space outside. Almost all the amenities checked out except there was no grill. When I messaged the host about it, he said it was outside... it wasn't. Cons: Communication and check-in was what brought this rating down. I saw that this was what other guests had issues with. I tried to get ahead of it by reaching out to the host 3 different times: 3 days before the trip, the morning of check in and 30 minutes before arriving. I messaged the host on vrbo, called the number listed and texted. Vrbo agents also tried calling the host two times. After waiting over an hour outside (in 100 degree) weather, the host finally texted the check in directions. The house has some wear and tear.
