We had a wonderful stay in this peaceful cottage. It was very well equipped and the comfortable bed had a big fan over it to keep us cool! Conrad and Sierra were very welcoming but also left us in peace. We thoroughly recommend chez Coeurdore.

It was a pleasure having you stay with us. We do have wonderful guests, and we truly enjoyed talking with you. We love hearing about our guests' adventures and their joy in being here, which makes it a treat to continue stewarding this property.
The gite is superbly appointed and very comfortably. Ample outdoor relaxation space with loungers, tables and chairs. One minor point, the garden could be better tended. No noise from the campsite as it was closed. The location is handy for many local attractions but some of the main attractions are further afield. Overall well pleased with our choice and would recommend it to other visitors.
We've just got back after the perfect trip. We couldn't have been happier with the appartment or it's location. We wanted somewhere rural so that is was dar enough to see and potograph the milky-way at night, but close enough to things so we weren't driving for miles. This turned out perfect. Just a few minutes drive to the major attractions, but enough in the countryside to feel lika retreat.
Conrad was super-helpful and the appartment was clean, with everything you need. The bathroom was luxury and the kitchen is fully equipped...although the BBQ and perfect weather meant we ate outside all the time.
We'd highly recommend this place and will use it again if we return to the region.

The Gite is well equipped and comfortable in a good location.
An excellent property with very good facilities and very comfy. The location is perfect for accessing many of the Dordogne highlights. We spent 3 days walking directly from the Gite as several of the Chateaux are very accessible on foot. The Gite is next to the owners property however they are non-intrusive (but helpful if required) The Gite has 3 private patios all catching the sun at various times of day. There is a campsite directly next door and some distant noise can be heard but only the sound of children enjoying their holidays. In high season it may be of some annoyance if you wanted complete total peace and quiet. It didn't bother us or stop us from returning. We saw deer and red squirrels from our patio and enjoyed bats and owls in the evening. I'd definitely recommend this wonderful property.

Getaway
Very good. Once you realise there are no shopping facilities close by, and plan accordingly, it is a charming place for a couple to stay. But there are some wonderful villages within 10-15 minutes driving-notably La Roque Gageac with its terrific restaurant La Belle Etoile.
This lovely cottage was perfect for our 10 day visit to the Perigord Noir. Very well equipped with everything you could need for short or even extended stay. The huge superking bed was wonderfully comfortable and the extra space was excellent for keeping cool in the warm nights. Although the owners property is adjacent to the cottage the position of each is such that your privacy is assured. Conrad and Sierra were around if needed but otherwise very discrete. We thoroughly recommend this property.
This property enjoys a peaceful location on a pilgrimage trail very close to the castle village of Milandes and the broad Dordogne River. Our closest village with a bakery is Castelnaud at 7k and another 10k to the famous medieval village of Sarlat. Life in the Dordogne is fantastic during the summer season of festivals and abundance of wonderful local cuisine. This area has a greedy share of the most beautiful villages of France. She is rich in history and one can stroll about the villages and fantastic castles on quiet mornings or days with bustling markets. The property itself enjoys a very peaceful location with the sounds of songbirds to greet the sunny mornings.
What makes this property unique
Great location to many outdoor activities, great hiking and cycling opportunities from the cottage, stay in a true Perigordian stone cottage and the RIVER! In the Dordogne, you can enjoy some of the best food in the world! From open-air markets to fine restaurants; they offer delicious local cuisine, wonderful wines and of course a bit of cheese. The Dordogne also offers loads of outdoor activities such as; shopping for treasure, biking, running, hiking, cave exploring, kayaking, swimming, floating, fishing, ballooning, golfing, zip-lining, bird watching, painting, writing and picnicking along the river. With all that, we do recommend at least one day to let the mind go sideways, just sit and watch the birds, enjoy a good book and a cup of tea.
