What makes this property unique
The Barker House as it's known locally has a very long history and especially as it relates to the American Civil War. The home was visited several times by Thaddeus Stevens a well know abolitionist who was very deeply invovled in the passing of the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments. The Confederate General John B. Gordon visited just days before the infamous Battle of Gettysburg.
