We really enjoyed the property. It was in a quiet area, a short walk from the lake and easy drive into town if needed. A nice set-up and we would definitely stay here again.

We have enjoyed our time here. Far enough off the road but not too far. Lovely meadow with wildflowers in the spring. Hosts are a delight to work with.
Always great!

Quiet and peaceful
This is a beautiful cabin that is very well taken care of. It has everything you could ever need stocked. The owners respond quickly to any problems or questions and are very friendly. My dog loved the space to get out and explore while I sat on the porch. I would definitely stay here again if I ever needed a getaway.
Super cool place to stay. The wife and I stayed over the weekend for some long overdue, well deserved R&R. The place was very clean, moderately secluded. This place it completely immerses you in nature and has tons to offer! We had such a great time and completely enjoyed ourselves during our stay. The owner was extremely courteous, respectful, excellent to work with and the communication was great. Our stay was the best weekend get-away we've had in a long time. We'll definitely be staying here again.
So relaxing and exactly what the reviews and summary said. I will be back for sure. So much to do. So much not to do but relax. Amazing! Fishing and relaxing was all I did. 💕

Very clean and comfortable accommodations.
If you are looking for peace and quiet, not a lot of people around, this is the place for you. Very homey and rustic. It is still close enough to town if you need to run to the grocery store for something, unless the fridge already has it. Well stocked. If you long to be in a cozy cabin in the woods with amenities of home, try Trinity Trails Ranch Texas Oaks cabin. Loved it!
Had a hectic week and just wanted to relax in natural beauty. Hung out on the porch and did a little painting, at night had a fire in the fire pit and looked at the stars. Only went kayaking for about half an hour just to go look at the vultures. It was lovely as Usual, thank you!

What a great little set up! Richard and Ruby provide everything you need for a quiet weekend retreat, all you need to bring is food. Unfortunately since I forgot my hiking boots it was a little too muddy to go exploring the woods. The cabin was very clean and quiet, I didn't hear any of the other guests on the property. Perfect for couples or just a solo trip and I will recommend this place to my friends. Great job Richard and Ruby!

Quiet and secluded describe it perfectly
Even though it was only an hour away from Dallas, the peace and quiet made it seem much farther. The hammock was my favorite for reading and stargazing. The walk to the lake took 5 minutes, and we saw fresh deer tracks one morning.
I appreciated the little touches, like the lights setup on the porch, and the shampoo/conditioner and condiments available.
I would recommend checking the inventory at the cabin, before going shopping, as you may not need to buy some things.
I'll be going back with my husband and dog, it was a wonderful place to reset.
Even if we didn’t use hot water all day, the hot water in the shower didn’t last long enough for even one person to finish bathing so we opted out of showers all together.

Serenity Now
As soon as I pulled in I knew I had booked the right cabin. Quite, smartly set up and in great shape. My lab and I immediately went to check out the lake - I couldn't get her back out to go unload the car. Saw some of the other cabins as I drove in but never saw any other guest. I floated while my dog swam around like a crazy dog so tired by the end of the day she could barely eat. Bella gives it 4 ruffs and a tail wag! I see us coming back - nice place to recharge yourself.
Awesome quiet little place just to get away and relax
It is nice and quiet the whole time I was there I didn't hear anything but the occasional vehicle passing on the highway. I would recommend a stay there if you are looking to get away and take a break from technology and the hustle and bustle of the city. T-Mobile works there in some spots and AT&T also works in some spots did not get Verizon to work very well. Just for your info
Great time with my wife and Grandson. Caught a lot of catfish in the lake. We had a fish fry our last night. Memories that are priceless. Big thanks to Richard for allowing us to enjoy this property.

About the host
Hosted by Richard and Ruby Franco
Ruby and I originally came across this property with other family members as we were looking for a place between Austin and Dallas where we could spend our Easters together as a large family.. We had this property for a number of years just clearing and working on the property with family and friends until one Easter when Grandpa Sanchez showed up with a shell of a building that he built in his backyard and transported up here in pieces. Ruby and I finished this building, which is now the bunkhouse. Our builder and friend Pat Small built the small kitchen and bath for us . Grandpa has since built the pavilion that we now use as well.
Why they chose this property
This location is perfect to meet our family for weekends together and such, since we live in Austin and Ruby's sisters and their families live in the Dallas/Ft Worth Area. They also own 3 traditional cabins in this area as well.
What makes this property unique
The design of this cabin is very different from most vacation rentals as the bunkhouse is separate from the kitchen and bath, and connected by a wooden walkway. I guess what we have is more of a small campground / compound than a traditional cabin. Our Cabin /Compound is the last in a series of 4, with our cabin designed for singles, couples, or small families.
