Lake Todd Waterfront Cottage

Cozy cottage on Lake Todd with 50 feet of private beach across the street is available for your summer fun! Cottage has 2 bedrooms and a full bath. Master bedroom has a queen size bed and looks out at the lake, second bedroom has 1 double bed and 1 twin bed. Kitchen has all the amenities you need and a charcoal grill is provided.

Large boats are not allowed on Lake Todd but it is the perfect place for canoes, kayaks and small motor boats with great fishing and bird watching!
Lake Todd is located in Newbury NH and is within minutes of Lake Sunapee. Mount Kearsarge and Mount Sunapee with great hiking trails for all ages!

Please note, cottage sits on a small hill with several steps leading to the entrance.

A 2-night minimum is required, if you have questions, please send an inquiry with questions before reserving the cottage.

Please provide a little information about yourself and your guests when inquiring or booking. I have strict policies in regards to age, parties and events and a limit of 4 guests unless prior permission has been granted. Please include yourself in the total number of guests.

Reservations will not be confirmed without required guest information.

Water shoes are recommended for the lake as it can be rocky in areas.

Perfect New England pine cabin

Great spot on a beautiful lake. Cabin was clean and private. The weather was perfect so I spent most of my time on the beach.

Perfect Girls Weekend getaway

Our 3rd time staying here and hopefully not our last. Love the privacy and quiet solitude this property affords. Especially appreciated and took advantage of the additional soft chair options inside the cottage as well as the watercflotstion options this year.

Quiet little getaway

Our second time staying here. Just enough away from it all but close enough to everything should we want it. Wish the weather had been better this time (rain) but still plenty of fun and good times.

Family Vacation

This is our second stay and we could not be more satisfied! The house, beach, host, and location are all amazing and we had the best family vacation. The sandy beach and quiet lake are perfect for young kids and families, and we love dinners at Appleseeds. Thank you for another amazing vacation and we can't wait to come back!

Great getaway

This was the perfect spot for our family to get away. The lake was shallow and the beach was perfect for the kids to play. Cottage has everything we needed and Judy was great throughout the entire process. We can't wait to go back!

Wonderful Girls Long Weekend

We could not have been happier with this rental and we’ve been doing our girls weekends for 8 years at different properties. Everything you need and nothing you don’t. Very sweetly decorated with every thought for the guests’ comfort. We gave it an A+.

Beautiful Lakeside Getaway

Beautiful cabin with a sunroom overlooking the private beach that comes with the property. Within walking distance of the Appleseed restaurant. And a very (very) short drive for your morning Dunkin coffee run. The fire pit on the beach or the charcoal grill in the backyard make for a great escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Lake access for swimming or fishing.

Short getaway with the family

Very clean comfortable home with a great little sandy private beach. The owner was super pleasant. She stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed. There was access to tubes and floats to use in the lake. Definitely hoping to stay here again. An added bonus…twice we saw a bald eagle fly by!!! Thanks for letting us stay at your home Judy! I hope we can stay longer next time🙂

Peace, love and Todd Lake

Such a wonderful vacation. The lake is quiet and clean and beautiful. The house is immaculate. The views are perfect. Canoeing, kayaking, fishing, tubing and campfires . Couldn’t have had a better vacation and will most definitely be back next year!! Thank you Judy!

Peaceful retreat

Lovely and well maintained cottage. Very peaceful. Stayed here 8 years ago. While I did not use the smart TV, the WiFi was a welcome addition. Clean. Beautiful lake. Only disappointment was that there was no water vessel for use. Kayaks and canoes can be rented nearby, but reservations in advance for this are recommended especially if you are staying over a holiday.

This place gets better every year

My family has been staying in Judy’s cottage for the last seven years or so and everytime we visit it gets better--be it new rugs, or furniture. I am grateful for Judy’s attention to detail, and responsiveness. This is the place to relax, fish, read, swim and enjoy the view of the lake. The birdwatching is terrific in June.

Quiet Getaway

The cabin was very pleasant with a nice view of the lake from the windows on the porch. The kitchen was fully supplied with whatever one might need. The property was easily located and was very quiet. Somewhat disappointed in the swimming at the lake. Near the shore there were small stones but further out there were larger boulders that were not visable. Difficult to walk out to swim.

Absolutely quiet and peaceful

The cottage was a perfect place to sit and relax with family. We had the best unplugged stay. The beach was perfect with crystal clear water. Next year I hope to bring my grandaughter. I personally love to cook on vacation or off. I wish there were more pans to cook with. Otherwise, it was perfect there was nothing better than making breakfast and looking out the porch windows. Seeing the most beautiful picture of the lake and the mountain. Thank you, for allowing my family stay at your cottage.

Long weekend

This little cottage is lovely. It is Immaculate, clean and has incredible charm. It has everything you need and more, from beach toys, a canoe, and lovely kitchen amenities. The interior decoration has been well designed and is just adorable. I went with my 2 adult daughters and grandson. We all declared its a keeper and we plan to make it a tradition to return every year. One suggestion, offer more overstuffed soft places to sit and relax. There are many wooden chairs, that are attractive, but for some of us, an overstuffed sectional sofa would have been perfection.

Wonderful Cottage!

We had a wonderful visit at the cottage. We loved hearing the loons at night and seeing them swim during the day. Water shoes were helpful for the stone bottom swimming area. Swimming was fantastic with lots of floats to use in the shed. The clothesline out back was nice for drying out towels and swimsuits after swimming. Check in was extremely easy as Judy has excellent communication. Just bring pillow cases, sheets and towels as bedspreads and pillows are provided. The window fans helped keep the cottage cool. My daughter really liked making a fire and smores at night. Thanks so much for sharing your cottage with us!

Perfect stay with private beach, great view & Outstanding Host

Lovely cottage with all accommodations & amenities you could think of. Lake/Beach is literally across the street and private. Perfect host, perfect little cottage..so comfortable and as pictured on the listing. All you need are sheets, your own towel and bug spray to use when it's hot. Fire pit, beach chairs by the lake, toys in the shed, various games were provided and a great tough. The host literally provided everything you would need at home, no exaggeration. Really thoughtful host who made sure every need is accommodated for everyone. We all felt at home! Bathroom/shower are tiny as mentioned in other reviews but appropriate for a cottage. This was a relaxing getaway with a good & safe location, great views and perfect for a small family. I would definitely recommend.

Peaceful privacy

This was our 2nd time staying here and again we thoroughly enjoyed the well appointed cottage, private beach, firepit, charcoal grill and mostly the serenity and peacefulness. No baby loon this year, but we did see and hear the adults. We did notice several larger motorboats on the water this time that did deter from the peacefulness and kayaking experience slightly, but for the most part the lake is very calm and quiet. The sunsets can be quite amazing to see. Although the weather this time was a mixed bag, we did a bit more exploring and enjoyed a nice meal at Bubba's and ice cream while listening to a free music concert at Newbury Harbor one night and also went to nearby Rollins State Park to access Mt Kearsage before checking out Warner for an ice cream spot. Judy is a very responsive and accommodating host. We hope to return again hopefully next year .

Quiet Lakefront with Beautiful View

The cottage is perfect for a couple's getaway or a small family (3-4). It provides a great location across the road to sit at the water. We had a rainy stay so only got a few minutes there but the front porch was perfect to sit on with coffee and listen to the loons, enjoying the tranquility. We would stay again!!

Cozy cottage with some drawbacks…

This was an adorable little stay. The lake front was a quiet time that we needed. Some pros are the location, the size was cozy and not too small. It was clean and the view was lovely. Cons where every single bed was horrible and uncomfortable. There were also no useful amenities within the cottage. She did inform me to bring our own towels but my point still stands that it was lack luster.
