Beautiful 2 story beach front house with ground floor Patio and Sand Bar. Home is located on the exclusive North Captiva Island, where a short scenic Ferry trip is needed to bring you to the island. It is truly an unspoiled paradise where golf carts rule. House has an open living/dining/kitchen plan with 1/2 bath on top floor and covered lanai for best ocean and Sunset views. The wrap around balconies of the home allow for both sunrise and sunset views. First floor has 3 bedrooms, master king bed suite with full bath, and 2 other bedrooms each with a queen and twin bed and a shared full bath. Each has access to covered screened in deck for ocean viewing and back deck for sunrise viewing also with wrap around balconies. Bottom floor is a covered, sand in your toes full beach bar area, including long bar with swing chairs, decking and couches, outdoor kitchen and enclosed shower. Steps to and from the beach in comfort while entertaining.

A slice of paradise

You can’t ask for a better spot on the beach. The house met all of our expectations. Beds were comfy, kitchen was well stocked and the air conditioning was a welcome perk after being on the beach all day.Thank you John and Jennifer!

Real beach vacation

A very unique place right on the beach. Just wonderful peaceful place to reconnect. We had great weather, just a bit windy, but that’s to be expected on the beach. The outside eating area is so fun and commodious. Hope to come back!

Refreshing Stay in North Captiva

The house is on a beautiful quiet little beach. We had someone catch a tiny hammerhead looking shark and saw a proposal right in front of the beachfront we were staying on. Everyday we would go out and find the most amazing sea shells! Such a nice island that has the friendliest group of people staying there. We took a few boat rides and the dolphins swam with us for half of the ride. Everyone was very accommodating. Only tip would be to plan ahead and read the welcome pack that details the necessary arrangements. You'll have the best time!

The best sunset on the island

Absolutely stunning sunsets and plenty of beach directly in front of house. We have stayed on the island several times and this was by far the most enjoyable. The house is perfect with everything you need for a perfect vacation.

Awesome Stay!

This is our 12th trip to North Cap over the last 22 years and Flip Flips is among the best of the various homes we have rented! Great location, great beach and great condition. Very chill.

Great House, Great People, Great Location

Absolutely delighted with our week-long stay at the breathtaking beach house! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning ocean views and the serene atmosphere surrounding the property. The owner and management staff's attention to detail and hospitality truly made our stay unforgettable. We cannot wait to return to this slice of paradise for another unforgettable vacation!

Family time

The inside was clean and kitchen well equipped. The location of the home on the beach was awesome! We had a very rocky first 24 hours due to no water in the home and golf cart broke down halfway to the home from the dock but property manager was able to get someone to come fix the first thing the next morning. Outdoor furniture and cushions were dirty and strewn around apparently due to a storm that came through the day before we arrived. My advice for owners is replace outdoor furniture cushions and power wash furniture and repaint. Indoor couch pillows definitely need replacing due to wear and unsuitable for indoor use. The guest showerhead needs replacing as we were unable to use due to inability to adjust the water pressure. Advice to future guests is bring lots of insect repellents and don’t go outdoors at dusk or dawn! The noseeum mosquitoes are relentless. I received hundreds of bites the first night we were there no joking and the itching is excruciating and a week later I am still suffering.

Comfortable lovely home on the beach.

Great location with stunning sunsets. The house was as depicted, very comfortable and clean with great balconies for watching the sunset over the beach. Efficient air con, which was certainly needed! We had some top up grocery shopping delivered part way through, a great service. A couple of minor issues were dealt with very quickly, thank you. Overall a great stay.

Island 🏝️ Fun

My husband and I truly enjoyed every moment in this beautiful home! Despite it being cooler outside than we hoped, the weather did not interrupt the peaceful setting and the beautiful sunsets! The property was fully equipped in the kitchen and there were beach chairs and umbrellas etc for outdoor activities as well! A great spot for the entire family to have a fun beach experience.

Beautiful Beach House

We had a fabulous week at the Flip Flops Beach House! The location of the house being right on the beach was perfect We had beautiful sunsets every night and loved hearing the sound of the Gulf. All beach needs were full-filled with beach chairs, towels, umbrellas and beach games. The house had incredible views and had everything we needed. It was a great getaway!

OMG, beach beauty everywhere from the house

Flip Flops beach house had the best views from every room ( and from the 2 covered wrap around balconies ) on the island. Literally bottom floor beach Sand Bar on the beach !! Spectacular Sunsets and serenity, peace and harmony from the sounds of the surf. House is perfectly appointed for a comfortable stay from infants to young adults. You will not want to leave.

Incredible Views

The home is perfect. Way more beautiful than the pictures online depict. The kitchen is well appointed, the beds are comfortable and the upstairs living area is simply magnificent. If you want rest, relaxation or family fun, this is the place. The island is not yet fully operational. That’s the one negative. We cooked everything night and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Island Getaway

Truly a spectacular getaway. Secluded Island living at its best with shell roads and no cars but gorgeous and comfortable home. We did not want for anything. Felt like Abacos in the Bahamas with its rustic charm. The food delivery service is quite convenient, and I highly recommend having the groceries provisioned prior to your arrival. Sea turtles nested at night and the beaches were white and pristine.

Vacation

Not very accommodating to your needs.Also serves at the pool and restaurant bar area were not helpful to visitor's focused more on the locals. It was a discussion that everyone was having that was there on vacation hanging out around the pool waiting on food and drinks. We needed a late check out at 12 instead of 9 they were not having it. We found the boat rentals and store for shopping to be great they were very friendly and helpful seemed happy to have your business unlike the restaurant bar area.

Sunsets, relaxing, sea turtles, tarpon, best vacation ever!

My family and I stayed at Flip Flops for a week and my teens said that this was their favorite vacation! Flip flops is such a perfect place, right ON the breach! Sunsets from the porch, the beach, the patio, every single night. Best view ever! The bonus was that the Sea Turtle nest n the beach in front of the house had its babies emerge July 4th in the middle of the night and we were able to call the North Captiva Sea Turtle folks when we saw a baby sea turtle climbing out of the nest that next morning. We were able to watch two hatchlings go off into the ocean. The house is amazing and had everything you need, plenty of beach toys, noodles, cornhole, board games, so much entertainment! And we did the grocery order through the management company and all the food was put away for us when we arrived. 5 Stars for sure!!!

Peace and Tranquility

Where do I begin.. the experience was everything we could’ve asked for from the day we stepped onto the island to the day we left. We’ve stayed at several homes in north captiva and this house had the best views of the gulf and the closest to the water (panoramic views from the moment you stepped foot in the living area). the home was wonderfully remodeled after the storm and had everything you could possibly need. Charles the owner even ensured there would be no construction going on on nearby homes as the island is still going through reconstruction from hurricane Ian. Charles also coordinated for a wonderful chef (chef Billy) to come and cook us dinner at the house once we got to the island that was absolutely delicious. We had the most peaceful time with our two sons and would definitely stay here or at one of Charles island homes again as he was a wonderful host. My wife even forgot her iwatch at the house which the property managers shipped back to us within a few days. Highly recommend!

Beach paradise

The house is excellent. Perfect for a couple and four teenagers. We arrived a couple hours before check-in and thought that we would spend some time on the island away from the house, but the property managers were great about picking us up at the dock and getting us right to the home. We had pre-ordered groceries through the property managers, and they were at the home waiting for us to put away with plenty of dry ice when we arrived. Multiple times through the week we had to order additional groceries and the process is easy and smooth. The house had a lot of spices already stocked. My advice is order the basics first then get there and see everything that’s there before you decide what you need to order as far as spices or plastic wraps. Since there weren’t many restaurants and we were staying at the house most of the time we went through much more food than I had anticipated. Pack lighter on clothing than usual and order more food than you think you need. The only suggestion I would make is that a larger grill would be nice. It was challenging to cook for six people on the small grill provided. But the grill worked fine and cooked well. The countertop icemaker was able to provide plenty of ice for us for the week. There is not a lot to do on the island other than stay at the home and the beach, but it’s perfect for a relaxing week at the beach. The house had many beach chairs, toys, and beach games as well as cards and board games. Many beach towels provided.

Best Vacation with Our Adult Kids

My family and I stayed at Flip Flops recently for a long awaited reunion - our adult kids live all over the country and we were finally all able to be together. Flip Flops was perfect for us. I have to say, I was a little nervous before coming, reading the previous reviews and had been communicating with Jennifer about my concerns. I had no reason at all to worry ! The house was extremely clean, fresh linens, fully stocked and clean kitchen, full size washer and dryer and an abundance of beach towels and clean beach toys outside. You have to remember that this is an island and it is going to have insects and sand - that is part of nature. We had so much fun having happy hour on the bar swings, watching the sunset from the screened in porch, playing paddle games, inner tubing. We even say sea turtles being hatched right by the house ! We took an excursion to Cabbage Key, had lunch and saw some dolphins. We bought a $75 membership to North Captiva Island Club and used their kayaks, saw manatees and swam in the pool twice. Logistically, we did take the Island Girl Taxi from the airport, stopped at Publix to pick up food I had ordered on Instacart. We missed the lastPine Island ferry to North Captiva because our flight was delayed so we had to hire their private ferry (which was pricy) to get us and our food / luggage to the house. Yvena and her team were helpful and responsive for transportation to and from the house. We had a great , relaxing vacation and our adult kids (30-21 years old) expressed repeatedly how grateful they were for such a relaxing trip; they really needed to decompress and Flip Flops was the perfect spot.
