while the property was very clean, its very tired. coffee pot didn't work. could not use the screened in porch at all. not good lighting after dark outside. no instructions, no briefing on the area. well appointed but tired.Having to take the trash miles away and come back to drop off keys was unfortunate..

We enjoyed the relaxing and clean environment. The house and rooms over the garage provided plenty of space for our big family to get together, and it was nice that every adult had their own room with a bed. However, the listing photos are out of date and there is a lot more wear and tear to some of the outdoor features. So many of the screens were full of holes, the decks have some rot which made them feel unsafe, woodpeckers were actively pulling out insulation from the many holes in the wood siding, many indoor lights simply did not work, older appliances were difficult and noisy to use, the lid to the hot tub no longer has the metal bar to assist with opening and closing and had many holes which led to the lid becoming waterlogged after it rained. Make sure to bring extra towels and bedding as others have mentioned.

We had a great time at the property. Very big, plenty of room to spread out. Things were clean and comfortable. Host was easy to work with. We really enjoyed having multiple living rooms with plenty of seating. Rec room in garage was a fantastic plus. Only a few things that were a little unfortunate. We had no luck with the dishwasher. It did not seem to work, we filled it to run at night, saw it turn on and run, but when we awoke the dishes were all very dirty.The hot tub wasn't in the best shape, but we contacted the host and they sent someone to fix it promptly. We appreciated that at least!Lastly the property had a bit of a wasp problem. When we arrived there were 3 wasps inside the house. There were maybe 10 on the screen porch so we weren't able to use that area. We couldn't open any of the windows in the house because nearly every screen had a tear in it (likely how the wasps got in). We located a few cans of wasp poison spray in the pantry, but they were all empty. There was also a large collection under the lid of the hot tub.We were able to avoid them, but the property could use a pest inspection to remove their hive.Aside from those minor inconveniences, we loved our time and would stay again.

The house was in a beautiful peaceful area. Clean and warm inside. There was plenty of room for us to have our own space and get together for meals and games. I would highly recommend renting this house and exploring the area!

The house is beautiful to look at, beautiful on first impression when approaching the door and beginning to enter. Little details then begin to intrude, the front screen door sticks because it is sagging from loose joints. It should be removed, squared, reinforced and re-hung. We, as a group my sibs and I, always look over the kitchen because we cook for group and guests. Drawers were chaotic with mixes of tools in many places and there wasn't a sharp knife other than the steak knives to the left of the stove in an inner drawer. Danger! And no wonder the working knives are dull, the only cutting boards were glass. We couldn't find any sort of device or steel to sharpen them, either. Dishes, glasses, silverware, and pots and pans were much easier to find and use, and were excellent. Love the pantry, but not that wasp/hornet sprays and bug repellent were on the same shelf as cooking oil and PAM. Again, details. Nice screened-in porch and deck, but large holes in the screen let in wasps. Some of the replacement boards on the deck and descending stairs are not fastened tightly, or at all at the bottom of the steps. The french doors from the dining area to the screened room are both loose from their jambs and the west side is missing an entire hinge. They can't be closed without lifting both doors up so they can swing in against each other. I think that those doors could conceivably fall loose onto someone or the deck and break something. Out of space but not problems!!!!!!

Secluded and Spacious

We had a great time. The house had a good number of bedrooms and bathrooms, especially if you include the coach house. It also has a good kitchen/dining room/screened in porch area for eating, games, and hanging out. There were also many couch beds!

Great spot

Overall, a great place to get a group of people together. There were 10 in our group and we were able to relax, enjoy the screened porch, firepit and hot tub and cook some wonderful meals together.

Family Get together
