About this property

Comfortable Lakefront Home with Magnificent Views

Lakefront has magnificent lake views through huge picture windows in the living room and master bedroom, and is surrounded by beautiful tall pines that keep the house cool on the hottest days but don't block the view.

The large yard gradually slopes down to the lake to fish, swim or launch paddle boards, kayaks, canoes and other small watercraft (available for rent nearby.)

Swimming is safe, with gradually inclined lake bottom that's great for young children.

Our buoy for mooring your boat is just offshore

Very well built, quiet home is set well back from the highway, in a friendly small community

The master bedroom has a king bed and private bath, the other two bedrooms have queens, the living room has a convertible queen couch, and there's even a Portacrib. Linens and towels are provided.

The wooded 11-mile paved bike path along the lake is not far. Several golf courses, hiking trails, shops, restaurants, and more are all within a few miles.

Fishing for salmon, trout, and smallmouth bass is often very good right in front of the property.

Some pets are allowed; contact the owner for details.

Eastshore location provides beautiful sunsets on many summer evenings, and unobstructed views of Mt. Lassen across the water.

This was a comfortable place to stay. Plenty of room. Kitchen was well stocked. Great location on the lake. Moored the ski boat right out back all week. Launched kayaks from the dock everyday. Lake Almanor water is wonderful. Nextdoor neighbors were friendly, helpful, even gave us worms for fishing. Went out on the shoreline to gaze at the night sky one night. The stars & Milky Way were incredible. Already planning next years trip.

Lake Almanor Getaway.

We three seventy-three year old high school buddies had an enjoyable stay at the cabin. The location on Lake Almanor is great and we loved the gentle slope to the water. The lake was low, so it was about 100 yards to the shoreline but that was no big deal. The cabin is spacious and well equipped but also kind of utilitarian. We had to make our own beds but everything was provided. The beds were comfortable. There is no air conditioning so it could briefly become a little warm in the late afternoon from the sun shining in the large front windows. No big deal. The tv was a letdown because we could only get a small number of channels and no apparent access to the internet. Actually, that was probably a good thing because as a result we spent very little time watching tv. The dock on wheels and the mooring buoy worked well. It gets very windy every afternoon on the east shore so you have to be prepared for that. Overall, an an enjoyable stay and I would do it again.

Fire ruined a great vacation.

We enjoyed our shortened stay at this lakeside home. If it wasn’t for the fires and the smoke it would have been perfect. Nothing was wrong with the house it was the atmosphere.

Lake Almanor

The house was close to everything we wanted to do (bike rides, hikes, ice cave exploration). In the front yard/beach area we saw beautiful wild flowers, geese, bald eagles, and numerous types of other birds. The beds were comfortable. Chris, the owner, was kindly notified us of the lunar eclipse schedule otherwise we would've missed it. Loved our week in the mountains.

Great for family retreat

We love this place! the house is roomy and cozy, the lake view is fantastic. My family enjoys walking along the bank in the evening. The renter is very nice and solved our problem instantly.

This cabin is situated very close to a 35 year vacation tradition. We enjoyed all the amenities the area has to offer. Hoping to rent again next year.

This was are third year coming here.

We love coming here, it has a nice gradual shoreline for the kids and we can Moore our boat right in front of the house. The renter is very nice and easy to work with. We will be back again.

Great location

This property is as advertised. The location and lake access are great. The house is roomy with a fantastic setting. The shade was plentiful and the house stayed comfortable during the day. It is not new or fancy. If you want new and fancy you will need to pay at least $1,000 or more per week. I look forward to my next visit here.

Awesome view from this lakefront home

Overall we had a nice time. The view is spectacular and the beach access is great. The home itself is very outdated and the old shag carpets were very stained and dirty. We also struggled with the carpet in the bathrooms. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you need. The wifi was great. The neighbors were very friendly and helpful. We love lake Almanor!!

Glad you enjoyed the place. It's hard to understand the comment about the carpets, though, as they were professionally cleaned quite recently. As for the bathrooms, both toilets were replaced just after this tenant was there, and the bathroom carpets will be replaced soon.
