About this property
Lake Miltona Family Vacation in the Alexandria Lakes area
Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun at the Lake! We have 3 bedrooms each with an ensuite bathroom as well as a bunk room with room for all the kids! In total, there are 11 beds including a king in the primary bedroom. The two other bedrooms have a queen size bed as well as a twin over full bunk bed and the bunk room has two twin over full bunks as well all in climate conditioned space to comfortably enjoy yourself while at beautiful Lake Miltona!
We are a great spot for fishing boats and pontoons. We have a shallow entry to our dock area that depending on the time of year and weather conditions can be about 2-3 feet deep max. I would generally advise against wake boats. Outboard motors only. We have about 15-20 feet for you to tie off your boat with an outboard motor but no access to lifts etc. Please ask questions about any of this info to ensure mutual success as you enjoy our home! Thank you!

This property was a great fit for our family this year. A beautiful home that exceeded our expectations. Our grandchildren enjoyed the sandy beach, kayaks, Lilypad and catching fish off the dock. We felt at home thanks to our host and would stay there again.

Thanks for staying with us! We're glad you loved it too! Come back anytime!
Annual family lake vacation, very nice place. The kids enjoyed the sandy beach and nice yard. We appreciated the double ovens and layout of the house. The lake is nice for fishing and boating. We will be back.
If you just want to gather with family and don't care about lake activities it is for you. But the shore looks nothing like the pictures that are posted. They are taken at different seasons and not in the summer when the reeds and weeds move in. Our jet ski sucked up weeds and we ended up parking it at the neighbors dock so we could use it. We were told we could tie our boat at his dock but he had a pontoon and two jet skis there which left no room for our boat. The water level was low...which was not his fault...but we couldn't even get the boat to the dock. This just doesn't show in his photos. We ended up trailering our boat to different lakes all week so we had access to a dock to load and unload. We have done this for 20 years with our family and never run into such a poor shoreline at any cabins we have rented over the years. There also is no garage parking which it says there is in the listing if that is important to you. We traveled with family with teenagers who wanted to be on the water

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We care deeply about providing an exceptional experience for every guest, so we appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few key details regarding our shoreline and dock setup.
Lake Shoreline & Watercraft Compatibility:
Week in and week out throughout the summer season, our guests successfully bring and dock their pontoons and fishing boats without issue. Mid-to-late summer heat naturally creates peak conditions for aquatic vegetation across Northern lakes, which is a key part of maintaining a healthy freshwater ecosystem. Had we known in advance that your group was bringing a deep-draft wake boat, we absolutely would have discussed lake conditions beforehand to ensure it was the right fit for navigating shallow shoreline waters.
Dock Access & Proactive Communication:
We strive to be as proactive as possible in addressing guest questions prior to arrival. However, because we cannot anticipate every unique scenario or vehicle/boat configuration, we always encourage guests to leave no question unasked during the planning process. Dock space and watercraft accommodations are always coordinated based on prior communication so we can ensure seamless arrivals.
Garage & Amenities:
Our listing outlines the amenities available on-site; garage access is reserved for owner storage and property maintenance equipment, while ample driveway parking is provided right at the home for multiple vehicles.
Our listing photos accurately capture the property throughout the year, though water levels and vegetation naturally shift with summer weather patterns. We are glad your family was able to gather and enjoy time together, and we wish you all the best on your future summer getaways!
Beautiful big house on a nice Minnesota lake only a few hours drive from home. Our five young grandchildren loved the shallow sandy beach and even caught sunfish from the dock. Their parents enjoyed some time off from work. We have been hosting the family for a week each Summer at a VRBO lake house. This was our fifth straight year and this location was voted the best so far.
This property was a great choice for our family vacation this year. With five kids under 6 years old, we wanted a location with access to the water suitable for the small kids to play in the sand and water. This was a perfect spot for us! The kids also loved catching sunfish from the dock every day. Occasionally a largemouth bass would make things more exciting! The location is close to local golf courses and other places of interest! The house is beautiful and very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!
Fourteen of us -from six cities in two states- converged upon this lovely property for five nights. Owners kindly allowed us to keep our boat tied up to their dock throughout our stay, and we had GREAT fishing! Plenty of space both inside and out for games, meals together, and conversation. Kitchens are fully stocked, everything in working order, and clean. Beds all comfortable and plenty of bathroom space. We all enjoyed the sandy beach, the clear water, the fire pit, and the spacious lawn. Neighborhood is quiet and it was easy to maintain the ‘quiet hours’ when all fourteen of us could move inside and have plenty of room to spread out. Owners were responsive, kind, and helpful before arrival as well as during our stay. Everyone in our group- ages 10 to 70- LOVED this property.

Mary, we're so glad your group came and had a great stay. One point of clarity for future guests, 12 guests overnight over the age of six is the limit per county ordinance. Mary's group had some people come and go on the front and back end of their trip. We would happily have them back anytime.
My family, parents, siblings, and their family stayed here in July. This place exceeded our experiences at other resorts. The lodging was beautiful. Every family had their private room with a bathroom and a bunk house for the kids. The cabin had everything from bar with keurig, blender, ice cube maker, beer fridge to full kitchen with all the utensils, double oven, dishwasher, kids ware, griddle top, filtered water system to bathrooms and laundry with everything from beach towels, bath towels, toilet paper, soap, etc. We ended up over packing and not needing a lot because the cabin had everything we needed. The kids enjoyed the sandy beach thanks to the weed roller and the big kids loved catching bass, Northern, and sunnies off the dock. The lake was great for fishing, had 2 sand bars to lounge at, and the bay was protected from winds coming across the lake. We were able to get 6 cars in the driveway and parked 2 boat trailers on the side. Could easily get 3 boats on the dock if needed. Would highly recommend and would rent again in the future!
