Heart of Amish Country - Paradise Cottage

Our newly renovated Heart of Amish Country Paradise Cottage is located in central Lancaster County just a short drive from the most popular Lancaster attractions. You can hear the Strasburg Railroad trains in the valley below!
We're located just 10 min. from the Sight & Sound Theater, Strasburg Rail Road & Kitchen Kettle Village in Intercourse, 13 min. from Dutch Wonderland & the village of Bird in Hand. Enjoy watching the Amish buggies roll by this cozy quiet getaway.

The cottage has 3 bedrooms (2 queen beds & 1 double bed) and 2 full bathrooms, including an ensuite bathroom for the master bedroom. Guests have a private lodging with private entrance. The owner lives in the lower level (semi-basement) of the house. She will be available if needed, but otherwise will respect the privacy of her guests.
2025 - our lodging now features a newly installed Kinetico water sytem.

The property was very clean. It was easy to find. It is close to the road so some 2 lane highway noise. To put positive spin on that a lot of Amish buggies go by hearing the horse hoofs on pavement was nice.

The whole house was spotless. The kitchen had all necessary supplies plus items that you typically do not find. There was more than enough towels/washcloths. The bed was so comfortable.

We loved the Paradise cottage! It was so clean, well equipped with everything you could ever need, snacks and coffee and even delicious homemade cookies. We all agreed the beds were so comfortable. Our communication with Ruth Ann was great. There was nothing I would change. Thank you Ruth Ann for making our girls weekend in Lancaster such a memorable one.

The place was very peaceful, welcoming, hospitable, clean and fully equipped with everything a family would need to enjoy the beauty of the country. The only constructive costumer feedback I have is that the price point was higher than originally posted for four guests, but the posting stated it can house six people. We were under the impression that the original posted price would be for up to six people, but we were charged extra when we indicated four people were in the booking.

We loved our stay! We were only there one night, for the Sight and Sound production. This house was conveniently located, and a great price for the 4 of us. There were so many extras (snacks, drinks, ice cream, coffee). The house was clean and neat. We loved all of the signs acknowledging Jesus! The owner and manager were easy to communicate with. They said we could arrive early if we got in town by 3 (I was wondering about going by the house prior to dinner with friends), but we ended up going to the house only after the play.The code works on the front door. There is a lovely back deck.Others mentioned road noise, but it did not bother us. We LOVED hearing the clip-clop of the horses hooves the morning we were leaving.Thanks for a lovely stay! We'll keep you in mind for future stays!
