SOUTH WINDS Unit #8

Our condo is in the middle of everything. It is 2 blocks from the "T" (the intersection of Hwy. 59 and Beach Blvd, at the Hangout). Park your car and never have to leave. Walk to The Hangout, The Pink Pony, Bahama Bobs, The Shrimp Basket and The Steamer just to name a few. There are also lots of souvenir shops also within walking distance. You can eat, drink and shop without ever getting in your car. How great is that!!

You get a great view of the white sand beaches of Gulf Shores right from the large front deck with no high rises to block your view. This is a small and quiet complex with only 12 units. Great for families and kids.

You can enjoy the large front deck with the beach views or sit back with a cold drink and watch the beautiful sunsets. You can also enjoy our small private balcony just off the living room with views of the beach also. This is a GREAT place for nice evening dinners.

It is an easy 1 minute walk to the beach with easy beach access. We have a cross walk and light just in front of the condo for your convenience. Just cross the street and your toes are in the sand.

To make is easy to tote the 6 beach chairs, beach mats, 6 beach towels and the beach umbrella that we provide we also have a beach cart. Did I mention we have a hard cooler and a couple of small soft coolers? No dragging all that stuff from home or having to buy it when you get here. WE HAVE IT FOR U!!

If you'd rather stay in and chill after a long day at the beach we do have a charcoal grill.
We have a few small appliances for easy meals also.

The kitchen is FULLY stocked with probably anything you would need. There are 2 great bedrooms with queen beds, HDTV's, and each with a roll a way bed for overflow. You have views of the beach from both bedrooms. There is a full bath with tub/shower combo upstairs and a full bath with shower downstairs.

If you like the colors of the sand and the ocean you will love this condo. It has soothing beach colors and is light, bright and airy. There is free WIFI and FREE covered parking for 2 cars directly under the unit. The condo is approximately 1150 sq. feet. There is a full-size laundry room with full size W/D. We do have a pool on site and also a shower beneath the unit to shower off after that long day at the beach. We have board games and cards for those unexpected rainy days.

The HANGOUT FESTIVAL is directly in the front of our condo. Streets are blocked off for walking to and from the festival with no traffic to fight. No driving, no parking fees and no hassle. Or if you prefer you can just sit on either deck with a cold one and listen to the live music and watch the people go by. It's GREAT!!

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds, gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Put the a/c on 78, lock storage building and put key back in the cabinet next to the refrigerator on the nail, place wood rod at the bottom of the sliding glass door.
Bring all dirty bed linens, bath towels and kitchen towels to the laundry room floor. Wash, dry and fold any of our beach towels that you used and place back on the shelf in the laundry room.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Refunds on unoccupied days during hurricane season are only given if an evacuation is ordered by the city of Gulf Shores. No exceptions..

The seating and outdoors provided great view of beach and comfortable seating. Our stay was during shrimp festival and the ease of access to venue from our unit was wonderful. We set up each morning in 30 minutes or less and had quick easy access using cart each night bringing back chairs. Cooking in the kitchen was wonderful. Beds were great and rooms stayed dark with the curtains drawn fot great sleep. Host was easily accessible and helpful and the neighbors were wonderful and a joy to share time with.
Lauria's was a comfortable bar with drinks and good food. Only a short walk from unit.

Great place to stay near the beach

This house is very clean, comfortable and walking distance to the beach and many restaurants. We really appreciated that the unit came with beach chairs, towels, an umbrella and a cart to haul it all down to the beach.

My husband and I are from Lafayette, Louisiana. We purchased this property as a family getaway and a place to make wonderful memories. So far it has not let us down. This is certainly our home away from home. I try very hard to make it just as special for you. I do hope you have the opportunity to enjoy it as much as we do. I don't think it will disappoint you.

Why they chose this property

I have always loved Gulf Shores. I visited as a teenager and a young adult. We absolutely fell in love with our neighbors and how close the beach is. The complex is small (only 12 units) , its cozy and very family and kid friendly. As far as the LOCATION, you just can't get any better.

What makes this property unique

This condo is so convenient to everything. The white sand beach and the beautiful gulf is directly across the street with a great view from the front and back decks. There are restaurants/bars surrounding the condo, all w/n walking distance. One is directly across the parking lot. You can sit on the back deck and listen to the music comming from the 'Hang Out'. If you're here for the shrimp festival you just cross the street and you are there, no driving/parking, it is located directly in front of our condo on the beach. If you would rather just sit on the deck with a cold drink and listen to the bands you can do that or just people watch. Every evening after the last band plays the fireworks show is beautiful and viewed right from the deck. Life doesn't get much better than this...
