We had a lovely stay. The cottage is really clean and it’s very near the beach. Leslie was very helpful and very nice. I recommend that place to everyone.
Cozy clean 70’s cottage good wifi and lots of tv channels . easy walk to beach and great location to tourist attractions . Loved the sp staircase and propane fireplace . Bathroom very dated and small shower but lots of hot water . Kitchen clean with everything you need but very little storage space for groceries .

Property was great.
Was a great place to stay. Nothing fancy but very clean and comfortable. Bed was comfortable. 2 minute walk to a great beach with beautiful sunsets. Would stay there again.

The location is perfect. It is quiet and is a very short walk to a stunning PEI beach which goes on for miles. Our children and grandchildren spent many hours on the beach and in the warm water. We also found the location to be very convenient for day trips around the island.
It is an older family cottage with two bedrooms on the main floor and two upstairs. A person has to agile to manage the circular stairs.
Consequently the younger folk used the upstairs bedrooms.
It was very convenient to have the washer and the clothesline.
Leslie was a super host and was always available to answer questions.
We enjoyed our stay.
The cottage is very basic and old. The bathroom is too small and the shower stall is a very tight fit that it’s impossible not to touch the shower curtain when trying to shower. No cupboard storage for groceries. The location to the beach is great but given the age of the cottage it is extremely over priced and we would not rent again or recommend to others.

Wow! So disappointed in your review of our family cottage. Our cottage is inspected yearly by the provincial government and maintains a 3 Star Canada Select rating. The website has clear pictures of the cottage. There should have been no surprises. I checked in on how your stay was going twice, and each time I had positive feedback from you. The shower is a standard size corner shower. The cottage rental price is comparable to other cottages in the same location. I wish you all the best for your search for another cottage on PEI to rent that will meet your needs.

Great location but could use some improvements
The place was basic, and clean. Great patio. Spacious. No air conditioning but with windows all open the ocean breeze was lovely. The beds were very uncomfortable for us though (hard), as was the sofa, (held up by a board under the cushions). The washer and dryer were convenient to have, but very noisy and dated. Not right on the beach, but a convenient 3-4 min walk. We were originally disappointed that we couldn’t even see the ocean, but it quickly became clear that Thunder Cove was a very popular and busy beach, with both vehicle and foot traffic, and beach parties (on the weekend) well into the early morning hours. It was much quieter on our little road!
