Enjoy a Winter get away at the Sunbreaker Log Retreat

This custom-built log/timber frame vacation home is located in the Sunbreaker Cove on the northern end of Sylvan Lake. This retreat property is located fifteen minutes from the Sylvan Lake town site in a quiet summer village.
This treed, lake view property with its naturalized gardens is located approximately 150 meters off the lakeshore and borders a forest reserve. A pathway leads to the lakefront and sitting platform with steps into the water.

During the Spring, Fall and Winter seasons the property serves as a wonderful place for retreats and get-a-ways: Ladies Retreats, Business and Project Retreats, Couples Get-a-Ways, Family Retreats, Special Events and more. During the Summer the property is a special treat for small groups of family and friends vacationing at the lake.

All travel is on paved road. Travel by boat is approximately six miles to the Sylvan Lake town site.

A true sanctuary

This property makes you feel like you are staying at your best friend's cottage! It is beautifully equipped with so many loving touches, like a heated blanket on the deck! It is stunning, located at the end of a quiet cul de sac, and a 2 minute walk to the private dock. We kayaked every day, went for long walks, and spent hours sitting on the deck under the heat lamp....which made the outdoor space completely comfortable in the cooler evenings. We watched hummingbirds and squirrels in the mornings, and bats in the evenings. It was awesome! The steam showers were a treat, as was the media room. Pat, the property manager, is so kind and responsive. We did not want to leave!

Perfect family haven

This place is even more beautiful than the pictures depict. Such a well outfitted kitchen for a bunch of foodies, and so many places to play and relax and connect. It was a magical time for our family. Also, being surrounded with so much beauty in the home and outside was good for the soul.

Relaxing getaway

We rented this as two families for a quick little getaway from all of life’s problems! Let me tell you, it was very cozy and relaxing! The first night we had a severe thunderstorm and rained for the following two days we were there, however, we cannot control the weather! We managed to get out in the lake for a quick half hour on the last day and mostly utilized the spacious deck as it is covered so we could be out there in the rain. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need, 3 bathrooms, 2 of which are steam showers which was a nice treat! Jacuzzi tub in master which we didn’t get a chance to use😔 All in all, it was a great trip and would definitely recommend! We are already planning another! Owners were great to deal with and Pat was great as well!!

Lovely retreat, open concept living.

We enjoyed the cabin even though the weather did not cooperate. The deck was fantastic and the fireplace was handy. Kitchen was well supplied and I enjoyed that beautiful range. No bugs, very quiet and peaceful. Thanks again for a wonderful stay and we would love to return again sometime, fall would be gorgeous out there.

We had a family reunion and the place was a great spot.

The weather did not cooperate, so we spent time around the fire and on the main deck. I cooked all week on that gorgeous range and all the extras, thanks! Other than the usual family drama that we brought, I had a fantastic getaway and would recommend highly. Be aware of the open concept, as noise travels and intermittent internet, which we didn’t need much anyway, electronic detox! Pat was awesome and Kim was available when needed as well. The steam showers and tub are amazing, great for a soak after a lake dip. We will definitely be returning, the property is located in a great spot and has a lot of privacy. Thank you Kim, Gail, and Pat. I hope to see you again soon.

Wonderful week

Beautiful property, short walk to the water and under 10 min to a semi private beach. Well outfitted with everything you could need - other than a few condiments you will want to bring with you such as ketchup, mustard, and salad dressings. Town site is a 15 min drive with large grocery stores, and activities. Peaceful, quiet location. We had a great week! We would definitely rent again.

Beautiful, well maintained property with loads of space inside and out for our family of 6. Absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway, we only wish we had stayed longer. We were left wanting for nothing - there were even boardgames to play and movies to watch.

The scene is a quiet end of the crescent location nestled up against a forest reserve with views of the lake. Summer lake connection and winter sun and sunsets are amazing from west forest and horizon views.
