If I could give this home away from home, a higher rating, I would! The location is absolutely beautiful, the hospitality and communication are above and beyond, and everything exceeded expectations. Definitely adding this to the top of the list for next time there’s a future trip out this way!

The house was perfect for the two of us. This place is right across the walkway from the beach, you cant get any closer.The owner was great at communicating and we had zero issues.The Little House will be our go to place to stay in New Haven in the future.

I loved how Tiny the house is. Location wasperfect for beach access and the house was clean and had kitchen and bathroom amenities. The place could use some touch ups and could definitely benefit from some weeding, landscaping and a clean up of the outside area. The price for the location is hard to beat for how close you are to the beach. Communication with the owner was great, very responsive. I will absolutely stay here again.

Hello, Michael: Sorry you were so disappointed. Most guests love being right on the beach for a fraction of what it would cost to rent a hotel room miles away from the beach. Re updating…it has been updated but it’s not a hotel with everything new. I would have to triple the nightly charge if I updated it. I will communicate to my housekeeper that you felt it needed a good cleaning. That is also surprising for me to hear as most of my guests state it is very clean when they arrive.

It’s listed correctly as Tiny House. It’s definitely tiny! Stayed with my two girls. Definitely tight but got us close to the water. Wouldn’t really recommend for younger kids because there’s really no room to move around. Definitely a place to rent if you want to be close to the water and looking to just sleep and stay at the beach. Close to town to go to dinner and shops. Overall we had a great girls weekend!

Perfect spot for a getaway! My friend and I stayed for 3 days. One room in the back and a daybed that pulls out. Perfect for us two. Steps away from the sand and a 4 minute drive to downtown. Perfect and fast communication with Karen through the entire process. Would stay again!

Pictures on listing were taken long ago and musrepresent condition of this place. My worst experience in 8 visits to South Haven. Paint around bathroom sink was peeling. Mildew on shower curtain. Bedsheets thin and pillow old and flat (no mattress protector). Old baseboard heating system caked with dust. Step down to bedroom not marked. Bad smell in bedroom and front room. Trundle bed old and lumpy. Screen coming off storm door held together with a rusty binder clip. Trash under kitchen sink not removed from last guest. Patio set di

I am very sorry that your experience in the Little House was so terrible. It is interesting to note that nearly all of the reviews I have received have been very high with excellent guest reviews. I take issue with “peeling paint in the bathroom ( there are a couple of tiny chipped paint areas only, and no Older was noted on the shower. Also, the trundle bed was purchased only 3 years ago. No guest has ever complained about a terrible smell in the living room either. For the very small nightly rate I charge, you cannot get any closer to the beach, remarks many guests have commented on in a favorable manner. Finally, you never communicated any of these complaints to me but complained to VRBO which resulted in a partial refund to you. I hope your future travels to S Haven are more favorable to you.
