PONTE VECCHIO Suite is a holiday apartment in Florence. It has been recently renovated and offers a comfortable stay in one of the most popular and living area and it is located 50 meters distance from Ponte Vecchio and few meters distance from Santo Spirito square and Pitti palace. The apartment is located on the second floor with elevator. PONTE VECCHIO Suite has a perfect location for who likes walking in the historical streets of Florence and discovering characterical places like restaurants, trattorie, enoteche. Central, comfortable, perfect for visiting Florence through short walks around the historic center of the city and, for those who love shopping, walking, visiting museums.

The Oltrarno – “Across the Arno” is the artisans' neighborhood, still packed with workshops where craftspeople hand-carve furniture and hand-stitch leather gloves. It began as a working-class neighborhood to catch the overflow from the expanding medieval city on the Arno's opposite bank, but it also became a rather chic area for aristocrats to build palaces on the edge of the countryside. The largest of these, the Pitti Palace, later became the home of the grand dukes and today houses a set of museums second only to the Uffizi. Behind it spreads the landscaped baroque fantasies of the Boboli Gardens, Florence's best park. Masaccio's frescoes in Santa Maria della Carmine here were some of the most influential of the early Renaissance.

How to reach Via dei Barbadori from the train station.

From Santa Maria Novella train station in Florence, you can reach Via dei Barbadori on foot in about 20-25 minutes. Additionally, it is also possible to take a bus from the train station. You can take bus number 23 from the bus stop in Piazza Stazione and arrive at Ponte Santa Trinita in about 10 minutes. From there, you can walk to Via dei Barbadori in about 5-10 minutes.

As an alternative, you can take a taxi from Santa Maria Novella train station and arrive at Via dei Barbadori 3 in about 10-15 minutes. Taxi fares can be relatively high compared to other European cities, so the bus and walking options are generally a more cost-effective option.

Wonderful Stay and convenient apartment

We had a wonderful stay at this small apartment near the Ponte Vecchia. Although on the other side of the Arno from a number of the major attractions, we found everything in easy walking distance for two spry seniors. The unit was as described. It also is convenient to major day-to-day services -- grocery store, full laundry, coffee shops, etc. Most notable was the outstanding responsiveness of our hostess. She was able to answer a number of questions we had, seemingly within minutes. We'd stay there again if we were to return to Florence.

Fabulous location and value

Location, location, location. I am so happy with the location of this rental! So close to museums and restaurants but it was not overly crowded with tourists or noisy. As a solo traveler it was the perfect size for me. The bed was cozy and the water hot. What else do you need? The ability to open the door/window was nice since the weather was just turning warm and looking out the open door with a glass of wine in my hand made me feel like a local :-) I needed to contact the host a couple of times during my stay and I was responded to quickly. I never did figure out where to dispose of the trash but that wasn't a big deal since I didn't cook much. I highly recommend Florence and this lovely rental. Enjoy!

Absolutely Amazing !!

Ilkay was absolutely amazing! Her apartment was so beautiful and comfortable and so so close to everything .walking a short walk to everything, shops ,food ,attractions . On our street was market,cappuccino, Atm,postal,hair salon. We enjoyed our apartment so much ! It has everything you need to stay.very clean and ilkay met us when we we're running late arriving from amalfi coast. She was so sweet and accommodating to our every need. The apartment was plenty large ! Open doors to the streets of beautiful Florence,italy. We will return and stay with her again. Until we meet again . GRAZIE

The good and the bad

In fairness - location is great - steps from everything and definitely climate controlled which helped during unseasonably warm Weather. Host gave excellent detailed communication including videos- some of best we had & was responsive. The bad - house is far less appealing than clearly dated pictures. The listing amenities were inaccurate- dryer listed but no dryer (host did check and admit I was correct but blamed VRBO and fell back on her history renting and the location). There are other listings in the area which appear more modern so not sure how is relevant. Furnishing was either stained or covered with shabby blankets or furry (far from sanitary) spreads. If you looked underneath you saw why - all stained or old. first day I found numerous areas that hadn’t been cleaned including hairs on the ironing board where iron would rest. We were provided with 2 towels and 2 hand towels (one for the week) no spare linen no dryer even if we washed them no guarantee they’d be dry for next shower. The pillows were old and lumpy and the sheets as well as there were threadbare areas. There are spare pillows (no cases) The hot water was barely available for 2 days (assumed old building) then gave out. Host did credit last day only after saying we should have said something. Had we done so we would have to leave because at one point it appeared no one could fix it so glad in a way we waited as we had to find a new place quickly. Clearly just profit center no attempt at upkeep

L’appartement ne correspond pas aux photos qui ont été prises il y à sûrement quelques années et il n’a pas été rafraîchi.Le divan qui est sale est recouvert d’un morceau de tissus pour le cacher et la douillette sur le lit la même chose. Cependant une fois cette déception passée nous avons profité de sa situation qui est idéale.Tous les points d’intérêt sont à quelques minutes de marche.L’endroit est calme malgré sa situation. Il faut mentionner que la cuisine est bien équipée.

The cute and cosy apartment was very nice and provided everything we needed. The beds are super comfprtable! We had the most restful sleep ever! Near by you can find lots of great cafes, bars and restaurants. It is located in the center of Florence and you can reach any sight in a short walk. Wonderful location, apartment and owner was very attentive and caring.

This apartment is in a perfect location in the Oltrano section of Florence. One street back from the Arno River and around the corner from the Pontevecchio. There is a nice fresh fruit and vegetable market directly across the street, the grocery store nearby and a wide variety of restaurants with wonderful fresh Tuscan food. The apartment itself is perfect for 2-4 people. There is a good size bedroom and living room with doors that open to the street. The bathroom and kitchen are somewhat small but very functional. Ayla met us at the apartment when we arrived via taxi, gave us a tour and showed me how to make Italian coffee which was delicious. Thank you for the coffee, water, wine and chocolate left for us on arrival Ayla and Ilkay! Ilkay checked in with us via message to make certain we didn’t need anything and offered to book us a taxi for our departure to the airport. I would highly recommend this apartment if you’re coming to visit beautiful Firenze. Thank you Ayla and Ilkay for sharing your perfect apartment with Bob and I. Great apartment in the heart of Florence!

We spent a wonderful 10 days in the beautiful city of Florence. Our apartment was perfectly centrally located in the Oltrano section of the city but only a short walk to the Pontevecchio. The apartment was a perfect size for my husband and I and had all of the essentials, even a fresh vegetable and fruit market right across the street. Our hosts, Ilkay and Ayla were very helpful and attentive. We would highly recommend this apartment and hope to be able to return! Thank you Ayla and Ilkay!

Perfect location

You won’t find a more convenient location, steps away from the Ponte Vecchio. Ilkay was an excellent host, communicating multiple times prior to our stay and arranging for us to be met upon arrival right in front of the property. This apartment provides everything you need for your stay in Florence including advice on restaurants and activities. It was clean and neat and exactly as pictured. Highly recommend.

Wonderfully located apartment steps away from the Ponte Vecchio. Ilkay was a wonderful host, communicating with us several times before our arrival and answering questions. We were met on the street in front of the apartment precisely at the arranged time and shown everything we needed. Ilkay checked in via message to be sure we were satisfied and had all we needed. Ponte Vecchio Suite

This room was everything my wife and I needed. Biggest positive for us was the amazing location of this residence. Everything we wanted was within walking distance including a laundry mat across the street that was needed during our stay. I can not recommend this suite enough, it was perfect!
