Just to let everyone know this is a small older cottage that definitely could use some love. We were mainly disappointed on the lack of cleanliness overall of the rental property. We would have liked to eaten out on the porch or patio outside, but we would have to do some cleaning before hand, and nobody volunteered or felt we shouldn’t have had to do this. I would not recommend this place if you were a family of four or more it has a very small bathroom and tiny shower, and also small bedrooms with very high beds.
We had a nice vacation however we had a couple minor issues one with the heat but after that got fixed that was a ok the only other thing was that our moms are 84,86 years old and the beds were so tall they couldn’t get in them
All the comforts of home away from the city. Gas grill, complete kitchen-pots, skillets, utensils, silverware plates and cups. Microwave 16 cup coffee maker, good size fridge and freezer. 2 bedrooms queen size and futon on screened porch. Patio set, chair cushions and umbrella. Fans both portable & ceiling fan. Gas fireplace and dock to fish. Cool breeze from the lake. No AC.
This is the third summer we have stayed at a cottage in the Kings Point area. Beautiful peaceful setting on Burt Lake. We moored our boat in front of our cottage and cruised all over Burt, Mullet, Crooked lake, and Indian River. Close to bike pathes and Petoskey, Harbor Spring, and Mackinac Island.
We loved this property. It was a lovely location for our family of 4. The size of the house was perfect for our family. The neighbors were lovely. Great place to launch our paddle boards from.
House was as described in listing. Small, but functional and clean Was perfect for our family of 4.
Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, coffee maker, etc..It was lacking some basics you'd normally expect in a rental (salt/pepper, condiments, etc..) but that is likely due to it seeming like a new rental (6/24) so I'm sure some of that will accumulate over time. Towels and bedding were clean and comfortable. Backyard is perfect for enjoying the lake and the recently added fire ring was nice for evening campfire.
Property manager was friendly and responsive to all communication.
