The home was very clean with a great floor plan for our family reunion. It was well stocked with the essentials. Lots of parking and 2 refrigerators, which were helpful. Floating the river was a blast. The pool was clean and had lots of grass to sit on.

We had a wonderful family reunion here with our five children and their kiddos, and this home was absolutely perfect for our group! With seven bedrooms, every couple had their own private room, while the kids had a blast sharing the fun bunk room with six bunk beds.There were so many great spaces to enjoy together. We loved gathering in the theater room for a family movie, and the kids had so much fun with the arcade games. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped, making it easy to prepare meals for our large group.One of our very favorite features was the outdoor table and chairs. We ate outside whenever we could because the view from the backyard was so beautiful and peaceful. It was such a lovely place to sit, eat, visit, and enjoy being together.The location was fantastic as well—close to the park, pools and hot tubs, and the Portneuf River for tubing the rapids. There was plenty for everyone to do.We made some wonderful family memories in Lava Hot Springs, and this beautiful home was an important part of what made our reunion so successful. It gave us the perfect combination of space to spread out and wonderful places to gather together. We would happily stay here again!

Extended Family Getaway

Beautiful home. We had 18 individuals of all ages. Plenty of room to sleep. Many of activities to keep everyone occupied. Close to Lava Olympic Pool and Hot Pools. Our host, Joseph, was amazing. He responded promptly and made all instructions clear. Thank you for a wonderful place that allowed our family to enjoy our time together.

This stay was by far our best Vrbo rental ever!! We booked the Lava Rock Retreat for a little pre-Christmas staycation with our grown children/spouses and grandchildren, and it was phenomenal! The weather was unusually windy, wet, and cold most of the time, but in the words of my adult son, “It didn’t matter! There was so much to do that we didn’t even need to leave the house!” We used the huge theater room for movies, Super Smash Bros, and Pilates. We played shuffleboard, air hockey, board games, tic tac toe, arcade games, and foosball. We made popcorn in the theater-popcorn machine and tried a lot of different seasonings, all provided by the host! We had family pictures taken in the backyard with the beautiful mountains as the backdrop. We also kicked around a soccer ball and played catch with a football on the grass, There was plenty of space to share meals and store our belongings. The kitchen was well stocked with multiple appliances in the pantry as a bonus. There was even a beautifully decorated Christmas tree in the front room where we placed our gifts for the gift exchange! The beds and pillows were great quality and super comfortable. There was a high chair, booster seat, and pack-n-play available. I could go on and on. There were toys in toy boxes in the bunk room! They truly thought of everything!! We did leave the house during our stay and found plenty to do!!! We HIGHLY recommend the Lava Rock Retreat! The hosts and their property are amazing!!!

We were a large group with 12 adults and 10 children, so this home was absolutely perfect. The theater room was so fun. Especially while watching the FIFA games. What a treat. Our little people were able to play outside in the backyard without any fear of danger. It was the perfect place for them to kick soccer balls and play Frisbee. The kitchen is well equipped and meal prep for our large crew was easy to handle. The rooms were very clean and beds were quite comfy. The home is near all the fun things to do, in town, and some of our crew walked home a few times. We loved our stay and highly recommend this wonderful home! Thank you to the host for his attention to all our questions.
