We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house. Everything was spotless. Property manager is a very nice guy and we had great communication with him throughout. Location is a short drive from Kennebunk, Ogunquit, and all the beautiful beaches around. Highly recommend!

Spring break visit

Beautiful and spacious house for a spring break trip with extended family. The home was cozy and inviting and in a great location for exploring Ogunquit, Kennebunkport, and Portland.

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly! Plenty of room for all of us in regards to bedrooms and whole group fun! Location was perfect with a fantastic coffee place right across the street, beaches, restaurants, and shopping all within a close driving distance! Loved, loved, loved

We arrived after dinner and check in was perfect the property was beautifully decorated and clean comfortable and very much like a place you could call home easily while on vacation . We where truly delighted

The property manager for this house is excellent. He is technologically proficient, highly responsive, caring, friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. Our stay was greatly enhanced by his involvement. The house itself has period elements but has been modernized, particularly in the well-appointed and equipped kitchen that has top-of-the-line appliances. The house does experience a small amount of road and train noise that could impact light sleepers. We had one problem of significance during our stay but the property manager handled it well so we have no hesitation in recommending a stay here. We were at the property for one month so we feel as if we know it well.

Sweet Jeannie’s Place

We really enjoyed our stay at Sweet Jeannie’s. The house was beautifully renovated with modern amenities, but they still managed to keep the historic charm. We loved the kitchen and the screened in porch. The location was perfect because it was an easy drive to the beach (Drakes Island and Wells beach were awesome), restaurants, mini golf, ice cream or a quick day trip to Kennebunk, Ogunquit, or York. This is a wonderful home and we hope to stay here again in the future!

Beautiful property - questionable customer service

Beautiful property. During our stay a dining room chair's leg caught the a seam in the wood floor. Chair leg broke and guest fell to the floor. No injuries. We left the property in immaculate condition, all but do the laundry! The owner decided to charge us for the chair $100US, so in CDN$ adds to our stay. Beautiful property - just be careful of accidents, you might be charged. We were going to re-book place but have chosen to go elsewhere. Does not take away from the charm and beauty of the house.

We had an amazing time at Sweet Jeannie’s! This was the cleanest rental property I’ve ever stayed in. Everything was immaculate when we arrived. The house is very tastefully decorated and minimal. The appliances were a stand out feature for us as well. The house had plenty of space for our group. We especially enjoyed the large dining room, where we had a lobster dinner one night from Well’s Lobster Pound (highly recommend if you’re in the area by the way). The house was in the perfect location to enjoy nearby Kennebunkport and Ogunquit, with easy access to grocery stores, cafes, bakeries, and restaurants. We also enjoyed the screened in porch and the outdoor fire pit. There were only a few minor things worth noting. I would have loved to see a book of recommended restaurants, grocery stores, activities, etc in the area. Check in and check out instructions in the book would have been nice as well. It might also be helpful for others to note that this house is on a busy road and there isn’t much outdoor space, but this didn’t bother me at all. The host was very responsive to our questions and we had zero problems during our stay. Our host even left us some nice goodies in the fridge. Highly recommend Sweet Jeannie’s for your southern Maine stay. Can’t wait to come back!!
