About this property

Kauhale Makai (Village by the Sea) is paradise defined. This 2 bd/2 ba condo was stripped to the core and fully remodeled this year. The brand new kitchen has granite countertops with top of the line appliances. The bedrooms and bathrooms are beautifully appointed to make your stay as perfect as possible.

This fourth floor condo has fantastic ocean views from the bedroom, kitchen, living room and lanai. Relax on the lanai while watching the palms trees wave in the breeze and the whales and windsurfers dance on the sparkling ocean.

The Kauhale Makai resort includes a beautifully tiled pool, jacuzzi, kiddy pool, putting green, shuffle board, and volleyball court. Our guests are welcome to use the free public tennis courts located steps south of the condo. There is nothing between the resort and the beach except for a large grassy area sprinkled with palm trees - no road to cross!

Also included is free high speed internet access!!! A king-size bed in the master bedroom, 2 twin beds (convertible to king) in the second bedroom and a Queen sleeper sofa are available for a total of 6 guests. Additionally, there are no stairs to climb... Two elevators service all six floors of the complex. We are very lucky to have central air conditioning in the unit. Nearly all other condos in north Kihei do not offer central air!

Walk along the beach to downtown Kihei for shopping and restaurants, or to the Pacific Whale Foundation's outpost for viewing whales in season (mid December to mid May). Less then ten miles to Kahului airport. Central to most everything on the island of Maui including all the best beaches.

NOTE: BUILDING CONSTRUCTION:

During 2017/2018 timeframe, there will be building construction work occurring at the complex. The work will be taking place M – F from 8:00a – 5:00p and noise may occur. There are 2 buildings in the complex and depending on the work schedule it may or may not entail noise and equipment near our condo. All work will be done on the exterior of the buildings. The facilities will remain open during this time.

Rates have been discounted to reflect the construction noise and disruption.

We would return in a heart beat

We found the stay very relaxing. Good location for taking walks on the beach and a short drive to most amenities. We would return in a heart beat.

Great base to explore Maui

This clean and comfy place had a stunning lanai, privacy for adults and good sep. beds for kids, and everything we needed to enjoy everything. Highly recommend! The only weird thing is second bedroom windows are sealed shut and a vent from other peoples cooking seems to send air in that room. Garlic smell woke kids up! Should also leave some instruction for the lights.

Great stay in Kihei

My family of four enjoyed our time in this condo. Stephen was an amazing communicator throughout not only the booking process, but also answered questions as we got closer to check in. And he went above and beyond to restore wifi service quickly when we reported it wasn’t working. The unit itself is cozy but comfortable for a short stay. It is amazingly well stocked with ample towels and linens and the kitchen was great as well (fyi no oven but there is a stove and microwave). Laundry is in the building not in the unit. Nice ocean view from the terrace. Would stay here again!

Wonderful stay

The condo was extremely well outfitted for a family who does a fair bit of cooking at home on vacation! The location was wonderful and everything was communicated well. Would absolutely return again!

I live in San Francisco and consider it one of the greatest cities in the world. In addition, I have a beach condo in Maui, HI. I love to share these beautiful places with other adventure travelers.

Why they chose this property

From the moment you step into the condo, you will realize that it was completely remodeled. Over $100K worth of upgrades were installed this year. New kitchen with high end appliances, both bathrooms are brand new and all of the furnishings and beds are new.

The condo also has central air conditioning! The condo complex is the only one with central air in North Kihei.

Nearly all of the rooms have stunning ocean views! The outside space in this condo is simply perfect. The lanai extends from the living room to the master bedroom. Sit outside and enjoy morning coffee or an evening sunset cocktail. You'll love every minute of it.

What makes this property unique

The condo is stocked with nearly everything you'll need for your vacation. All beach gear is in the condo. Included are beach towels, ice chest, umbrellas, boogie boards and beach chairs. There is also a personal safe in the condo to store your valuables.
