We rented the upper level of the house. It is so nice that each bedroom has its own bathroom. The kitchen is well-stocked with dishware, utensils, cooking pans etc. There are plenty of towels for both the bath and kitchen. The house was clean and is in a quiet neighborhood. It is nice to sit and relax on the large deck overlooking the river. The host is easy to notify if we have questions or concerns. Thanks, Dan, for being a great host.

The host was very friendly, and was really good with communication. The house was wonderful. There were so many comforts of home there. The kitchen is wonderful, and has two sinks, so that preparation of food can be happening with two different people and you are not constantly running into the other person. The house and the view exceeded our expectations.

The house was spacious and well-maintained. There was plenty of space in the kitchen, dining area, and living room for preparing meals, playing table games, or just having conversation with one another. The outside deck was comfortable and relaxing as we took in the New River below. It was nice to have a bathroom off each bedroom. Our host, Dan, was kind and easy to contact if we had any questions.

This place was better than the pictures! The hosts were wonderful! They thought of all the little things. My family and I said many times that this place is the best VRBO we’ve encountered. It’s perfect for accommodating multiple adults and children. Book this place! You won’t regret it. I wish I’d taken more pictures. I have one with fireworks from the back deck. If you’re looking for a huge deck, with a gorgeous view of the mountains and the river, look no further.

We live on 13 acres that borders the New River for a 550 ft. river's edge. Our primary residence is here as well as the newly constructed guest house for rentals. We love the awesome views of the New River and river access is included with the rental.

Why they chose this property

It is quiet here (not many neighbors) and the air is clean (5 miles to the nearest city/town).

What makes this property unique

It has a magnificent view of the New River and sits on the Virginia side of the river but there is access to Independence VA and Sparta NC within 10 miles from the property.
