Unit ok but nice beach

This unit sits behind the beachfront building and is not truly beachfront. It is a short path to the beach which was very private and you could walk for miles in the soft sand. The kitchen is very small and has a well used cooktop. Microwave, toaster, coffee maker and refrig are newer. The limited cookware was ok and the dishes and glassware were of decent quality. No dishwasher or oven. Grill is very rusty. The bedrooms and bathrooms were a nice size and the beds were very comfortable. The living and dining areas were big enough to accommodate the 6 of us and we really enjoyed the deck/terrace. There are a lot of stairs with no railings outside and inside in the unit.The bad news is when it rained the ceilings leaked in two of the bedrooms and stairwell. The rain poured from the leaky roof/ceiling down the entire wall of the stairwell leaving water everywhere. And it was a lot of water. Not a trickle. We only had beach towels to dry and clean the areas which was not enough considering how much water there was and the areas never got completely dry. We let the management company know about the leaky ceilings, walls and roof and other small maintenance issues. The management company arranged our airport transportation and they hired a chef for us one day which we loved. Solmar Rentals was very responsive to our questions and concerns although I have no idea if they knew the property leaked so much. I would not recommend until these issues are resolved.
