Sleep by the Blue Paradise

This four bedroom villa is in the heart of Cancun beach. It shares only ten steps of hallway with one neighbor, which is very convenient for social distancing in a pandemic. The sea breeze will eliminate the chance of disease transmission in the complex.

Beautiful Caribbean sea can be seen in the living room, dining room and balcony. The condo is finished with marble floor and decorated with style. The kitchen is remodeled in 2018. The cabinets in the whole condo were newly installed in 2021. The mattresses were changed to memory foam mattress in 2021. High speed internet access in the condo makes you connected with the world. It is idea for one big family or for two families.

This condo is inside the complex of Villas Marlin. The master bedroom has a king size bed on the second floor. There are another master bedroom with a king size bed, one bedroom with full size bed and one bedroom with two twin size beds on the first floor.

Villas Marlin is located in the heart of the Cancun hotel zone. It is close to everywhere. The largest mall in Cancun-Kukulcan Plaza is just across the street, where you can find many luxury stores such as Louis Vuitton and fine restaurants. 12 minutes of walk, you can get to La Isla Shopping Village, where there are many specialty stores. A few minutes of bus ride can get you to many other restaurants and night clubs in the hotel zone.

The condo is just 15 minutes drive from the airport and to the downtown. When you take the bus, it is directly behind the Kulkulcan Plaza. It is located in Kilometer marker 13.5, between Ritz Carlton Hotels and Westin Hotel. Come to enjoy the blue paradise with us!

The AC is horrible. Very very very very very weak. Many many hours to cool the apartment. The view must be completely shuttered to get benefits of AC. General maintainance oc property is poor. Lots of things broken or do not work. The stsff are like Gestopo.

Great location! Property…ok

The Villas Marlin is in a prime location! We loved the pool, being so close to the beach, and the great restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance (Nicoletta’s and Harry’s). The unit is very spacious, on two levels, but a bit outdated, with a somewhat obstructed view of the water. Which was fine, considering the weather was perfect and we didn’t hang out inside too much. The beds were comfy, bathrooms and kitchen were pretty basic but fine. Very quiet complex and good for families (we have 2 tweens). Security is present - felt safe on premises for sure. The pool snack bar is reasonably priced and delicious as we had lunch and drinks there each day. Weather was perfect!! We enjoyed our stay.

Unsatisfactory

We booked this for six days and only made it about an hour. We had to leave and stay in a hotel instead. AC was broken so the condo was too hot to stay there. The doors were broken and there was ants in the kitchen. Wi-Fi was out as well, Great location but didn’t get to enjoy it due to the terrible conditions of the condo.

Number one - Cancun is hot and sticky all year round - but especially in august, so plan well The listing doesn’t reflect how run down it looks - the fans were rusty, no garbage disposal, no lid on the trash can, ants (to which they told me where the ants pray is), beds were not very comfortable It is in a good location - I’ll give it that. Pools are warm - so hot outside, hot in the water - no break from the heat. The ac does work in unit - but does not cool down common areas. The shopping area across from it is a joke

Affordable, quiet condo just down from Hotel Zone

Our condo served us very well during our week-long stay for Spring Break. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, ample seating areas, and towels for the beach. We were greeted with a full water cooler, but no other amenities like shampoo or spices. A few of the dishes in the cabinets were dirty, but there were plenty of pots, plates, glasses, etc. Housekeeping came once, a day earlier than specified, but right in the middle of our stay which was very lovely. The beach is truly the highlight of this property - clean, relatively private and absolutely beautiful waters just a few steps out our door! There were also a few small private pools and lounge chairs on the property. (The guards on staff are very strict about swimming in the pools or ocean after 8pm, which makes it a very quiet, family-oriented location.) The clubs in the Hotel Zone are just a 15 minute ride on the local bus, for which the stop is very near and only costs 12 pesos a ride. For the same fare you can also take a bus from the same stop into the central city for shopping, additional restaurants, or to catch a longer distance bus at the ADO station. It is also just across the street from a mall with a Soriana full-service grocer to stock up on food and refill the purified water. There are a few restaurants in the immediate vicinity, some more tourist-oriented than others, but I would recommend traveling for at least some of your meals out for a more authentic culinary experience. Overall, if we were to return we may try our luck with a new location but we had a wonderful trip and have fond memories of our time at Villas Marlin. Thank you to Marcela for a great stay in Cancun!

Villa Marlin Accomidations

The location of this property is fantastic; just south of the main resort area and very secure. Access to the pool and beach is convenient. There is a mall with bank, shopping, and grocery store just across the street. The snack shack / bar at the pool has a good menu and the gentleman running it very nice. We were able to catch the bus just across the street; 12 pesos to ride. We travelled with 5 young adults. The set up of the condo worked really well. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms on the lower level and another bedroom and bath on the main level. It slept 7 people easily. The view from the balcony is pretty. The kitchen was well appointed with pots, pans, etc. We did a lot of cooking. A maid service came in mid-week to clean and refresh our linens. We really appreciated this and she did a great job. The property manager was responsive and helpful. The décor and furnishings are pretty shabby but serviceable. The main dining table is wicker without the glass top. It was lumpy / bumpy and drinks often spilled. There were two very weathered / cracked plastic chairs and a small broken table on the patio. The beds are extremely hard with flat pillows. If the furnishing were improved a bit, I would book this condo again.

Great Place

Family vacation was awesome at Villas Marlín. The unit is just off the ocean and a few steps to the pool. It’s great four our family and the setup with balconies overlooking the ocean are sweet! Highly recommend this place.

Great experience, nice beachfront, the mall in the back with the grocery store makes things very accessible. The Villa could benefit from some moder updating, otherwise very comfortable, great view and staff. Highly would recommend, our family of 8 really enjoyed it all.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely condo. The location is the clincher. This condo is second row from the beach. The beach as you know is beautiful. In arriving... I did note how 'tired' some of the decorations were and at night I was a bit uncomfortable with the 2 flat pillows in each pillowcase. The mattresses are past their prime. The positives: when we were short of wine glasses management came immediately with replenishments. When the shower curtain fell down, maintenance gentleman came quickly and patiently fixed the rod. The condo was clean, the bathrooms are spacious. The one bathroom upstairs has an unusual shower head that can only be turned on by a taller person. ( my parents are short... and needed me to turn on the shower). We gave them the master bedroom upstairs as it is on the same floor as the kitchen and the living area. Condo is reverse living. The kitchen is pretty well supplied... ( you need a better wine opener though- when you are in need of a good glass of white wine.... you look desperate as one struggles LOL!) . The view from the balcony is very nice if you can mentally block the first row condo's flat roofline. The mall right across the condo was a saver with the large supermarket on the top floor. I even got some of my better souvenirs on the first floor and booked a tour from one of the kiosks. The 5 star mall down the street is walkable (15 mins). I have already recommended this VRBO condo to friends. Bing Yang responds quickly. Thank you!

Wonderful Christmas week

We had a wonderful time at Villa Marlin in unit #209. The owner was great to work with, and very responsive to any questions. This was our first time in Cancun, but won't be the last. The condo worked perfect for our needs. We had 8 people and was very comfortable. We really liked the location of the unit. Just steps from the pools and the beach (softest sand I have ever felt). The front door of the condo has a keypad, so no keys. This is very convenient, we could be at the pool, and quickly run back to the kitchen for snacks or a drink refill. The complex has 3 pools, plenty of room for everyone. The security is very good, and their are lifeguards for the beach. The condo is well furnished with the basic necessities, coffee maker, toaster, blender, plates and utensils. The cookware is a bit limited, so don't plan on cooking large meals. But there are many great restaurants very close(La Distileria is just across the street, I would highly recommend going there). There is a washer/dryer in the unit, so no need to pack too heavy. There are also ample beach towels. The complex and the unit are a bit dated, but very well maintained. It is comfortable and safe, ideal for families not wanting 5 star accommodations but a nice, clean place to stay. We enjoyed it very much. The Kukulcan Mall is across the street from the complex. There is a place to exchange money, several shops and Soriana grocery store. We visited there several times. There is also a small convenience store in the condo complex that is good for ice, drinks & water. We went to La Isla Mall several times. It is a kilometer north on the main road, about a 10 minute walk. We felt very safe walking, there is ample security everywhere. La Isla is a very upscale mall, but has several affordable restaurants that overlook the lagoon. Many will give you free drinks for eating there (first round). There is also a movie theater there that we visited. It is very affordable, we paid $28 USD's for 8 people, and $16 for snacks for everyone. We would also recommend visiting Aquaworld. They have many water activities there. It is about 2 KM south. We took the bus and was there in about 5 mins. The buses are reliable and cost 10 pesos per person. Cancun is a get place to visit. Villa Marlin and unit 209 is a great place to stay while you are there. You won't be disappointed.

Perfect!

My husband and I stayed in 209 for a week. Location, location, location! Literally steps to the pool and just a few more to the beach. The views from the patio are stunning. Best shopping and restaurants a few more steps away. The condo is quite functional. Its clean and well appointed for a beach condo with all the required amenities like beach towels, blender, new cookware, washer/dryer and WIFI! We'll definitely be back to this unit! We've been coming to Villas Marlin for almost 20 years. This has been one of our favorite condos. For the newbies-Fish Fratanga is one of the best kept secrets on the island. Order the coconut shrimp, shrimp mignon or the grilled fish. You can't go wrong at Lima, LaHabituela Sunset, or Hacienda Sisal. All within a 5 minute walk. The Tequila Grill at Kulkulcan is a great place for breakfast. If you want to venture a little further, our favorite restaurant is Lacondo Paulo in old Cancun where Italy meets Caribbean culinary skills. Not to be overlooked is the guacamole at the poolside snack bar. My husband and I travel a LOT for work and pleasure. Villas Marlin, and now condo 209, is my favorite place ever!

september fun!

My whole family had a blast. There was 10 of us 8 adults 2 small boys and we all fit perfectly we did bring pack-n-plays for the boys to sleep in and it work out fine. The complex is really great. 3 pool areas one of them with a bar-snack bar. Steps from the beach. The whole team from security to cleaning lady were very nice. We cooked all of our breakfast and lunches and went out for dinner, a lot of places within walking distance and if you need a cab just call security and one is there within 5minutes. Is located right behind Kukullcan plaza which has a Soriana inside, we did all of our grocery shopping there. Another great this that we got to experience was baby sea turtles. They have nests being protected right on the property and at night they let you help to bring them close to the ocean my kids loved that! We took advantage of the washer and drier specially having the two boys it was a must. They only thing we wish is that it had more kitchen supplies like pans, more cups etc other than that we had a fantastic stay.

Cancun Christmas

Our family of 6 spent a week over Christmas and had a blast! The condo was perfect! Plenty of room to move around, steps from the pool, and the beach was beautiful! The location was convenient to restaurants and shopping! We felt perfectly safe walking around day or night...on the street and the beach. Helpful and friendly staff. Can't wait to rent it again!

Great Family Getaway

We had the pleasure of staying at this condo for the second time. It is comfortable and clean. The four bedrooms provide plenty of room for all of the family to have privacy and room to spread out. The full kitchen is well supplied with cooking utensils. This helps keep the cost of vacation down while we have the ability to prepare our own meals. The beach outside Villa Marlin has been completely restored and comfortable beach lounges are provided for free. The pools are beautiful, clean, and comfy chairs are provided. The city busses come by frequently providing low cost transportation up and down the hotel zone. The owner and onsite manager are very helpful. The security supervising the grounds, the front gate security, and the life guards are all competent and very visible. Even though our visit was during Spring Break, the resort was quiet and peaceful. My only request is access to a BBQ out by the pool. There was no evidence of any violence or drug issues during our stay. We traveled to Tulum for the day and saw no issues along the way. We will definitely stay at this condo again.
