Great house for families. There was plenty of room to hang out, cook, play, etc. The game room was perfect for the children. The location of the house was ideal. Overall, a great stay!

Great location, perfect for large groups!

Contente was a great house for our girls weekend. There was plenty of space for us all to sleep, cook and hang out. The river was literally in our backyard! Absolutely perfect for a group getaway.

This place was great for our multi-generational family weekend. Plenty of room and very comfortable. We loved the rec room. It’s a beautiful setting overlooking the Russian River. We’ll be back.

50th Birthday Weekend

Had a great weekend! The house is perfect for a large group of friends with plenty of space for all to sleep and hangout between the upstairs and downstairs areas. Great location and rental staff was very helpful at check in! Would love to stay here again!

Spacious River Getaway

We loved our stay at Contente! It was clean, well- stocked, comfortable and quite large. The game room was so much fun, and location excellent. We kayaked right from the backyard, and enjoyed the nearby restaurants. Great for families and large groups. Highly recommend.

Family Tirp

Wonderful location with direct access to the river. Even though the property is right on the road the noise was minimal. Plenty of room for our group of 14.

Comfortable and loaded

This place is nice and roomy, has a large comfy couch, and a nice deck. We rented both places (Culture Blend next door) with a large group in town for a soccer tournament. Contente had everything we needed, a great deck, fun games in the garage area, and comfortable beds.

Great place for large groups.

This is a great house for four couples, or a couple of families. There are 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, plus a bonus room downstairs with pool tables, ping pong table, laundry and places to hang out. It would be great during the summer with swimming, floating in the river just out the back door. The house was very clean and well-equipped. We had everything we needed for making large salads and cooking our meals. Plus a 12-cup coffee maker.

Family Wedding

Contente worked very well to house our family and extended family while we were in the area for a wedding. Lots of space to hang out together or find a quiet spot to yourself when needed. Amenities were as promised and Jordan at the office was very helpful to assist as needed. Close to wineries and the ocean for fun day trips. Only minor inconvenience was that the basement didn't have any indoor stairs access and the dryers should be on a separate circuit.

Perfect Group Getaway

This house had all the amenities and space I needed for a fantastic getaway with my friends. It was able to sleep and seat all 14 of us, not to mention we could walk to the nearby brewery and chill for hours in the hot tub. Best vacation home ever!

Spectacular Getaway

River Dog Retreat is a gorgeous property in a peaceful and spectacular location. The property is warm and inviting and very clean. Everyone at Russian River Vacation Homes was a pleasure to work with and made our reservation process very simple. We enjoyed a getaway for 2 couples for a long weekend of wine tasting and relaxing along the river. The perfect place for "getting away from it all" amidst the trees but still close to fine dining (Boon Eat + Drink is a local treasure) and just a short drive from shopping in Santa Rosa and late-season kayaking along the coast in Jenner. We enjoyed lots of space to stretch out and loved the hot tub under the stars. Covered porches are perfect for those rainy fall days and of course there are tons of local wineries along the Russian River! We loved our stay and would absolutely return for another gorgeous vacation at any time of the year!
