The Barn at Chimney HillOur stay at The Barn at Chimney Hill was fantastic. The home has that perfect Vermont charm—warm, inviting, and set in a beautiful, quiet spot just minutes from Mount Snow and Wilmington. It felt like the ideal retreat after a day on the mountain.Brian was an exceptional host—responsive, thoughtful, and genuinely committed to making sure everything went smoothly. His hospitality made the experience even better.Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy the Mount Snow area. We’re already excited to return. We will definitely be back!!
The property was a great fit for groups- we had 5 kids, 4 adults and 2 dogs, and could cook and eat together. The kids liked sleeping in the loft and playing foosball and darts. The fire put and community pool were great too. The kitchen was fairly well stocked with spices and the location was convenient for hiking, boating or activities at Mt. Snow.
Great place for multiple families to stay! Awesome family room/kitchen set up for evenings in after the day on the slopes/hiking etc... we would def rent again!
Our 3rd time back and never disappoints! Great property for our group size - 3 families with kids 12-17 and 2 pets. Close to Mount snow and a short drive to Stratton. Brian does a great job and is always accessible for any questions. Hope to be back again soon!
The property description is accurate. Very cozy living space. The fireplace is easy to use. The kitchen is indeed tight so pre-making food is a must. The grill and hot tub were very useful. A quick 10-12 minute drive to Mt. Snow. We very much enjoyed staying at the barn (6 adults / 4 teenagers).
Had a lovely stay at the barn! The hot tub was immaculate, the house was clean, and there was plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen is a bit lacking, but they do kind of warn you about that. Do be aware that there is a wood burning stove in the living room that provides heat on the colder nights, this becomes important as some of the windows are drafty in the main room, but there are no directions for its use; be savvy or be cold!

Thank you, Heather! Glad to hear you had a great time. Thanks for the feedback! We hope to have those issues addresses in 2023.
My family, my sister's family and our parents had a little mini reunion here to give our kids a taste of rural New England Summer. We enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub, bunk bed loft, laundry at the barn, and walking paths. We ventured out to Dot's Restaurant, the Country Store, Starfire Bakery, and North Star Bowl for mini golf/candlepin bowling/arcade on a rainy day. We visited The Ledges, Harriman Resevoir, Pikes Falls and even explored a little of Brattleboro.
The only two small negatives/things to be aware of are the kitchen is a bit small for a larger group and the clubhouse (and pools) is only open on the weekends until July 4th which we were disappointed to find out only a week before we arrived. We still had plenty to enjoy but it would have been nice to know that earlier in the process.

Great place to hang out and relax with family
My family and I had a wonderful weekend here. The barn was the perfect spot for us. Lots of stuff for the kids to do right at the house. The beds were very comfortable, even for me and my bad back. The hot tub was a great spot to relax for a while after a day on the run. Dinner was cooked on the grill and s'mores were enjoyed around the camp fire. I think it's safe to say we will be back. There were so many things to do in the surrounding area that we didn't even scratch the surface.
Brian was great about making sure we had all the necessary information prior to our arrival. He responded very quickly to all of my questions be they email or text. I have no doubt that if we had any problems he would have solved them.

Thanks Lisa! We would welcome you all back anytime!
Chosen for a family reunion, we were all delighted by this cottage. Very nice cottage, very clean, with many beds (without being on top of each other), access to the club located 5mn on foot (basketball court, volleyball, pool and jacuzzi).
We’ll be back for sure!
What a relaxing place to stay in Vermont - ample size, plenty of room to sleep, giant hot tub and a fireplace/woodstove that burns until you get tired of filling it. Topped only by the host - Brian - who was a great communicator and very easy to work with, his home is very much worth the visit. We started with 6 going on our trip, grew to 9 and ended up with 11 people for a portion of it, and everyone had a comfortable place to sleep and a wonderful time. We'll be back for sure! Note: The hidden gem is the clubhouse - it is actually on top of the hill right near the house - a very short walk instead of what we thought was going to be a long windy drive back down the hill that we just wouldn't bother to make
Fun for the whole family!! We celebrated my 40th birthday with a long weekend getaway at the Barn and everyone had a great time!! We had 7 adults and 6 kids and our dog. The barn was a Spacious and nicely decorated home close to downtown Wilmington and 15 minutes away from mount snow. The hot tub, foosball table and club house were awesome amenities that the kids and adults enjoyed! Brian was a very helpful host who was very easy to get in touch with before and during the stay. We are already looking forward to planning our next stay at the barn!!
My family rented this house with my cousin and her family and our friend and her family. Altogether there were six adults, five children and our two dogs that stayed at the location for three nights and four days. The property was clean and well maintained. The clubhouse was an added bonus, providing family fun with an indoor and outdoor pool, game room, weight room and tether ball. The fire pit at the house was perfect for getting a fire going and there was plenty of wood stacked for use. The hot tub was relaxing and newly filled with fresh water when we arrived. I only needed to contact the property owner once while we were there and he was great about getting right back to me. We couldn’t have been more pleased with everything. Thank you for providing a place for us to create lasting memories with our friends and family.
Our group of 7 plus 1 dog had a great stay at the Barn. We were skiing at Mount Snow for the weekend and the proximity to the mountain was great. House was as advertised with lots of sleeping arrangements, plenty of towels, and fully stocked pantry. The bathrooms in the house seemed to be newly renovated and were beautiful!
Easy and quick communication with the host. Unfortunately we did have an issue with the hot tub on our last day where it wasn't properly functioning. I let Brian know this and he was working to get the cleaning company over however they could not make it that day. Regardless of this, we had a great stay and highly recommend the Barn. Thanks again Brian!
Place was amazing, true Vermont home!! Loved The Barn vibe. We were in constant contact with the owners and responded right away if we had any questions. We would definitely rent the Barn again!!!
This home was quite comfortable for our family of 9 and 2 dogs and still would accommodate the 12 that as advertised. We enjoyed the private setting and close proximity to Wilmington. It was well stocked with linens and paper goods. Brian was very accommodating especially letting us check in a bit early withour new 4 month old granddaughter. The only negative I can say is that the kitchen, although well stocked, was a bit tight when cooking for a large family. Thank you for giving us the much needed family fun time during covid!
My husband and I and our children and grandchildren spent 4 wonderful days at the barn. The location is perfect - close to Wilmington center and area attractions. Since there were Covid19 restrictions we could not use the clubhouse and were only able to go to pool once but there are plenty of other things to do in the area. The house had lots of space and the kitchen was well equipped with all we needed for meal preparations. The owner Brian was wonderful to work with. Responded to questions almost immediately. Would definitely recommend this property.
Absolutely feel in love with the Barn. Was very clean and well maintained. I felt at home and did not want to leave. It just ended up being me and 2 friends staying for the week because my family could not come so my dog stayed home as well. I am looking forward to renting The Barn again next year. The location was great it was away from everything but yet close enough to get where you wanted to go weather it was hiking swimming or shopping. We lost power because of a nasty storm but Brian the owner reported to the power company and they had it fixed in no time. We had a great time anyway even with out the power it was like camping. The power was out for like 8 hr but we where still able to cook because of the grill and the water stayed hot as well. One of the most relaxing vacation i have ever had.
We had a great stay here with 3 families. There was plenty of room for all. Brian the home owner was super helpful and friendly and answered all our questions. The surrounding area was beautiful. Our teenagers loved the hot tub. The house was really cute and spacious but there were a few things that were old and falling apart and it could have been cleaner but this would not stop us from going here again. There was so much to like about this place! I would definitely recommend this to anyone and would definitely go back!
We had a great stay at The Barn. Brian was very responsive before and throughout as needed. Location was great, close to Mt. Snow. Kids loved the pool at lodge and hot tub on deck.
