Placed side-by-side, our guests have enjoyed an almost king-size bed. All linens and sleeping pillows are new. There is a wall mounted large, flat-screen television with Satellite Satellite TV and HBO. easily visible from the kitchen, dining table, sofa and rest of the studio room.
The Studio's BATHROOM is in the south-east corner; it is a private bathroom featuring two sinks (one a designer glass "wash-basin" for personal use and the second, a deeper sink for personal use, dishes, etc.). The Studio is surrounded on the south, north and west sides by wide red rock pathways. There is a water fountain for aesthetic sound effects at the north-west corner of the Studio, outdoor lighting, and a propane barbecue grill.
NEW: Large, contractor constructed red brick covered veranda;
Extensive landscaping - multiple trees, saguaros, cactus, flagstone paths, etc.
There are paths for walking around the acreage facing The Studio and the large horse corral. "Bring your horses" (for an extra fee) and enjoy some of the most wonderful nearby riding trails that link-up to the statewide trail system.
The sunsets are gorgeous.
The Studio rests within our private 2 1/2 acre "unofficial" Sonoran Desert nature sanctuary with bird watching (resident and migrant cardinals, hawks, pygmy owls and other owls, doves, road-runners, etc.); numerous varieties of cactus and desert plants and trees. Nearby occasional sounds of owls, hawks and other birds, as well as horses or even a burro add to the western desert landscape / soundscape.
Known for its "starry desert night sky" there are binoculars along with bird-books and nighttime star books/charts.
The Studio is set far back from the roadway in peaceful natural surroundings. Bicycle and hiking/walking trails abound. Across the street is a section of Scottsdale's famous statewide trail system for walkers, bikes and horses that is part of the Arizona state trail system. Within 10 minutes to a new section of the McDowell Sonoran Park System; 15 minutes to another section and 20 minutes to the larger preserve with walking, hiking and biking trails for all levels.
HORSE CORRAL: we also have a very large corral on our property, sometimes available for a separate fee and agreement; featuring two large shades (telephone pole height with metal roofing), multiple water troughs which is often available for our guests' horses to be on property with them. The whole area is "horse country" and has incredible nearby riding trails that "touch-upon" our property.
You have now completed your Studio Tour; now the rest of the story:
THE BEST OF BOTH ARIZONA / SOUTHWEST WORLDS: Our Studio guests enjoy all the above, and yet are still close to world class golf, restaurants, shopping, theater, sports activities (including Cactus League games, PGA championship tournament, world class equestrian events & the Barrett Jackson auto extravaganza, to name a few. Check out the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy to see the many nearby incredible walking-hiking-cycling trails.
Also nearby are internationally recognized medical facilities and physicians (including the Mayo Hospital and Honor Health Hospital within 15 minutes).

About the host
Hosted by Jerome and Linda - property owners ( TPT 21213002)

Jerome and Linda are your caring host and hostess. We personally designed our custom home on the north side of our 2 1/2 acres; and The Studio and The Casita - are nearby on the south side, yet far enough to maintain privacy. We are not "absentee owners" who leave you to fend for yourselves. While we respect our guest's space, we are also available for advice and assistance. This is not a walled[-in community where houses are often on-top-of each other, nor a condominium or apartment house. This is 2 1/2 acres of our Sonoran Desert. All properties within miles are either 2 1/2 or 5+ acre properties - so "privacy" .
We designed and oversaw construction of our home and The Casita and the Studio.
Linda is a retired educator (reading specialist), "critical thinking" tutor, and professional interior designer.
Jerome is a professional mediator, arbitrator and attorney; a twice invited Presenter at the United Nations, who has taught other professionals and business persons programs in meditation, arbitration, and the energy "arts"( such as meditation, yoga and Aikido.) Jerome is also a licensed Real Estate Agent operating through Keller Williams Realty.
Linda is a retired educator - 25 years a reading and "critical thinking" specialist.

Guests have included families preparing for, or recovering from medical procedures at May Clinic and other nearby hospitals and medical clinics.

As owners, we take great pride in our property. We are NOT absentee owners who leave their tenants or a management company to "take-care-of-it-all!
Our own home is also located on our 2 1/2 acres - close enough for assistance, guidance, conversation and yet "separate" to maintain privacy.
The "Why This Property" relates to the total property and experience, the area and your hosts - The Studio and The Casita, our two rentals, have received numerous excellent review of which we are proud. Excerpts of those testimonials are set forth in the "Reviews" section of The Studio site (upper left "blue" section.")
