Outdated but comfy home

Beautiful outdated home with canal access and pool. Pictures are professionally taken so House is older then the actual pictures. Three large bedroom but one sofa for three people in living room. Outdoor landscape could be improved. AC Units don’t hold the size of home so it’s very hot (above 78f) during the day. House is a bit outdated with 12 inch TVs in bedrooms, many light bulbs are out, and the cleaninliness is not up to standard— If this house was maintained better, I would have given it a 4 star.

Thank you for the review. Sometimes a renter blocks you from doing the maintenance......the property management company was not allowed by the renter to change bulbs and do AC repair. Renter bought a portable unit and installed it. House was spic span clean when renter checked in...... Today, our AC technician has upgraded the AC and installed a new compressor. This house is in excellent condition, we have this house rented every year to the same tenant for 7 months.....why would they come back year after year.....? Koen, property manager

Run down, repairs desperately needed.

The location was great but everything else fell short. Fairly significant ant problem. Garage door didn’t open or close. A broken uncomfortable bed. Not enough linens and those that they did have were stained and gross. Dirty rugs. Dilapidated cabinets and patio furniture. Pool has a major leak. Poor landscaping. Just overall very run down.

Thank you for staying with us Jennifer. I seen your review, if you would have answered the many times we tried to get a hold of you, I would have told you about the linen closet, where you would have had multiple linens and towels. Breaking the bed then saying it was broke, putting all your candy wrappers and juice boxes in the dresser drawers is not how we like to find our house. Pool does not have a leak, we lose water when pool heater is running so much, but there is a hose there for you to refill when needing. I am sorry you feel this house is run down, I would hate to see how you would treat your house after seeing what you did to ours. Kind Regards, Tracy Melo - Property Manager

It was a lovely property, everything catered for

Villa Pearl is perfectly situated on the island. Perfect for a family. We made maximum use of the bikes, cycling more or less everyday day. We even made use of the kayak’s! The pool on the property was also made use of a lot. We have been coming to Captiva (South Seas) for many years and this is the first time we have rented a house and would definitely do it again. Would highly recommend this property.

The service from Roelens vacation was exceptionell! They were great in every way! The home itself was not entirely clean and needs some remodeling inside and outside. There should be more dishware. But it still was a nice stay. I will miss the wonderful mango tree which provided me with breakfast every day!

Superb location, a real home away from home, very well equipped, very comfortable.

We have stayed all along the Gulf Coast in recent years, Siesta Key, Marco Island etc and this Home did not disappoint. As a family of 4,with two teenagers, we found the location to be perfectly placed on the island. Easy access on and off, although we rarely left, perfect for the beach, very well equipped with bikes, kayaks etc. and perfectly placed to venture out at night to the many excellent restaurants on Sanibel. A ‘lived in’ traditional Home where we felt comfortable immediately, with 3 good size bedrooms and a nice open living space. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Many thanks.

Nice property in good location

Island Pearl is well situated property at the lighthouse end of Sanibel. The boat dock allowed us to rent a boat while we were on vacation but the canal route out to Pine Island Sound is quite long and passes under low hanging mangroves and a couple of low bridges. We had to lower the bimini cover to get under the bridges at high tide. We also made use of the bikes and the kayak that are at the property. Nice outdoor poolside dining area.

Amazing!

This was our first time using vrbo and were pleasantly surprised to find the house was exactly as described. We loved it. Not only was it spacious but it was thoughtfully designed. There was so much storage you could barely tell we were there. The house had everything we needed for the beach and more. We didn't have to bring anything but our bathing suits and sunscreen. When we weren't at the beach, we were in the amazing pool. There were floats and noodles for us to use too. The location was perfect. Very close to the beach and the restaurants. One thing that is not mentioned in the description of the house is the mango tree in the yard. We had the most delicious mangos to eat everyday. Would I stay here again? You bet!

COULD NOT HAVE BEEN HAPPIER!!!!!

The house was awesome and provided exactly what we were looking for! Very close to the beaches and shops as well as many restaurants. Bike trail which goes all through the island is located right at the end of the street. And there were about six bikes as well as a kayak in the garage for you to use! Excellent location! Everything is provided in the house from dishes and eating utensils to beach toys and towels for the whole family! The description is correct in that all you need to bring is clothes and your toothbrush! The rooms are decorated impeccably and the beds are beyond comfortable! The best part of the whole vacation was the private pool! Our kids basically lived there for the two weeks we stayed. It was the perfect size for our young swimmers and the lounge area and dining area that surround the pool made for some great evening family gatherings. Overall I would definitely give this rental 5 stars because there was really nothing we were lacking that we wished we had! The worst part about the whole trip was getting ready to leave! We will definitely be returning again as soon as possible! A big THANK YOU to the owners!
