This beach home was perfect for a girls trip getaway. It was a bit smaller than we thought, especially common space indoors, but we were lucky to have great weather so the patio was fabulous. Views from the enormous deck were incredible. Home was cute, clean, and comfortable. Hosts were responsive and friendly. Highly recommend!

This house is at an excellent location, and my friends and I had a great trip. This is our third stay in this house, although the house is starting to show some wear. Overall we had a wonderful time, but I feel like the owner could spend a little time doing some repairs to merit a 5 star rating. The deck has some loose boards, some of the door handles don't work (bathroom), and the downstairs bathroom vanity door is showing it's age.

The pictures online were better than the house in person. Furniture was outdated, smaller than we thought and rust everywhere. All the cooking utensils were old, the bbq barely worked, no garage and on a very busy road. Definitely not worth the amount of money they are charging. We were very disappointed.

Beautiful ocean view

This property is located on the ocean so the view from the patio with jacuzzi and fire pit is fabulous. The house is well appointed and comfortable. We were very upset that the BBQ was in terrible condition—2 burners broken, lid handle broken, on/off knobs broken off so had to use tools to turn them Host said it couldn’t be repaired during our stay. The lock on back sliding door is broken. No luxury home should have these problems. The beach in front of house is only accessible during low tide and you get black tar all over your feet. Do not recommend using this beach area.

Great Beach House

Our group of 8 throughly enjoyed the weekend at this amazing beach house. The house was clean, uncluttered with great furnishings. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook big meals. The beds were extremely comfortable with wonderful cotton bedding. Our only complaint is about the queen beds that were advertised downstairs. One is definitely a full which makes it tight for 2 adults to share. Both "queen" beds seem to be full beds so maybe it was a typo. Everything about the master bedroom is fantastic! Great views and comfy beds. The hot tub is big and was very clean. We had to time low tide to walk on the beach as the waves crash onto the deck which BTW is awesome. Tv's in every room but we didn't watch them as the ocean was our entertainment. The owners are great and very attentive. We highly recommend this rental.

Perfect spot for everything !

Love this house. Perfect spot to wake up and enjoy coffee watching waves crash, surfers surf, and birds on shore and in the air. Expansive deck easily accommodated us, our 4 adult children and a five year old who kept busy for hours in the sand box. Nights around the fire pit (and toasted marshmallows) and a kitchen stocked with everything to you need to cook. Immaculate. Everyone enjoyed things all together or in separate groups: short drive to many great walking and hiking trails, Santa Barbara Zoo, Botanical Garden, the pier and Montecito. A ferry trip to hike on Santa Cruz in the Channel Islands and see the island foxes and amazing views. Great meals at Honor Bar, Convivo Restayrant, La Super-Rica Taqueria and pizza at Lucky Penny. Days end of gorgeous sunsets from the deck and then sit around the fire pit. Plus the upper master deck, plus three full baths, plus the big kitchen table for games - it’s a winner. We love this time of year here - also stayed here in October a few years ago and was equally as perfect. Great and responsive owners.

Faria-July 2025

This is the beach of my childhood and we have rented this property at least 3 times now. The location is spectacular. However we ran in to multiple issues on this stay. The spa did not work the entire week and was finally getting fixed on the morning we left. The outdoor grill did not work and Marcie sent out a guy to fix it. He got it to work a little bit. He ordered a bunch of new parts but was not fixed when we left. Both showers were stopped up and would not drain properly. I used the toilet plunger on one and Jose (handyman) fixed the other one. In the downstairs bedroom (next to the non working outdoor shower) the screen had a hole in it and the sheets also had holes in it. There were also dirty sheets in the drawer and under the bed. One of the steps to get to the ocean from the sea wall was broken (Jose fixed it on day 3). The large sliding door would not open until Jose came out to repair it. Renting a place billed as a luxury property and paying almost 12,000 for it should not come with these issues. The entire outside of the property is very rusted and has not been properly maintained. They need a new property manager or they need to allow the PM to spend some money on the upkeep. Roy (spa guy) mentioned he had told the PM about needing more regular maintenance on the equipment not just cleaning the sand out of it. We still had a nice time with walks on the beach every day and my grandsons being able to fish off the deck at high tide. I would like a refund for 2 d

Beautiful home with amazing outdoor deck

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and it has been very nicely updated since our last stay several years ago. The decor is beautiful and the deck has everything you need for a long, lovely stay at the beach. We lucked out and the weather was perfect and we just really enjoyed being right on the water without needing to take everything "to the beach". The master bedroom is amazing and was perfect for our family that came with their young kids. It was big enough to set up 2 cribs and for the parents to be comfortable themselves, not to mention the amazing view. The downstairs secondary rooms were a little small, especially the bunk room but would probably be ok for kids. All of that said, I have 2 reasons for the 4 star rating: First, the living room tv remote didn't work and even after we bought and changed the batteries it still never worked even with my techy cousin working on it for quite a while, so we just gave up. The bigger issue was the jacuzzi. The heater didn't work on it and when we used it, it never really got above a luke warm temperature. I contacted the manager about each of these issues the first day and she responded quickly with some suggestions, however once I told her we had done both I never heard back. I wouldn't normally be that upset, but we paid top dollar for a week stay and everything should have been in working order or fixed right away. Other than those 2 things, our stay was very pleasant.

Why they chose this property

Though we have always lived in Southern California, we love to visit Santa Barbara and the surrounding areas. We've always been fascinated with this area. We had driven by these beach homes our whole lives and never dreamed that one day we would have one of our own. Having traveled far and wide we have to say this is truly one of the most relaxing destinations in the world! There is so much to explore in the surrounding area-the possibilities are endless.

What makes this property unique

Loving a beautifully decorated home, we went all out making this the most beautiful home you will find on this stretch of beach. New and modern is nice but can't beat the charm of a California beach bungalow. We had a lot of fun preserving as much vintage charm from this almost 100 year old home. Though, modern conveniences were a must! Yet what everyone can't get over once they enter the front gate and walk down the path to the backyard-the view! It is incredible. Being this close to the ocean has the most peaceful and relaxing effect-we can't get enough of it. We think you will agree!
