WELCOME to the Makaha Beach Cabanas located on the northwest shores of Oahu! Our condo is on the Main Floor. No need to even use an elevator - step off our Lanai directly on the Beach! It really doesn't get better than this!

Far from the hustle and bustle, we're in the countryside where you can still experience Hawaii the way it should be--unspoiled and uncrowded.

But close enough to indulge your tastes in Chinatown, surf on the North Shore or swing in Waikiki when the desire strikes!

Watch spectacular sunsets, see the dolphins, sea turtles and even whales during the annual migration--all from the comfort of your OCEANFRONT & MAIN FLOOR CONDO.

We have an AWESOME beach, the best on Oahu--swim, snorkel, boogie board, surf, golf nearby at two top-quality courses & BBQ facilities on site.

Local eateries are close by & upscale shopping/dining is about 20 minutes away.

Who can resist the sound of the surf lulling you to sleep? Our beach is rated one of the Best in Oahu!

This amazing first floor condo is literally on the virtually private Beach and sleeps 4 comfortably w/a Comfy Queen Bed, Convertible Sofabed & Fully Equipped Kitchen.

Because we are directly on the ocean, the Cabanas only air-conditioning are the wonderful Hawaiian Trade Winds! The Condo is designed to take advantage of the Trade Winds with cross ventilation + we have ceiling fans in every room. No need to close yourself off from the sound of the waves directly outside your door!

Sandy Beach between your tiest

Get away from the busy life…. Sit back enjoy the sound of the waves …. Sand between you toes…. Watch turtles swim by… nice drive to north shore, Dole plantation and the macadamia nut farm.

Right on beach / stand. Great sunsets

Great space. Being first floor let’s one step over onto sand. Right there. Water little rough but swimmable. Great duvets. Close to few reasonable priced markets. Good beach toys. If focus is sand. Beach relaxation thus got you. Not ton of restaurants right there but 20 minutes snd you’re at Ko Olina Owners very communicative and recondite. Great time

Wonderful!

Property was just as described, location great, not touristy. Perfect for making day trips to explore the island. The beach was awesome and not crowded, the laundry facilities simple and inexpensive, and the booklet with condo instructions and local info was very helpful. So happy we found this rental!

The west side is where all the homeless of Honolulu are allowed to stay. Camps every ware. Smell was bad.

We loved our stay at Makaha Beach! Walking out of our condo onto the beach into the water....paradise! Ending the day with stunning sunsets - breathtaking! The condo was a perfect beach house well supplied with kitchen and beach essentials. We’d return in a heartbeat (and hope to!)!

Makaha Beach Cabana

Excellent cabana - will definitely return and highly recommend this unit. Stepping right out onto the beach each morning for a sunrise walk was a highlight of each day. Beautiful views and semi-private beach. Condo clean and well maintained and provided many amenities needed to enjoy a relaxing vacation. Beach chairs, cooler, hair dryer and much more available for use while staying. Condo is close enough to everything but far enough to be out of the hustle bustle.

Fantastic beachfront condo, instant access to the beach.

This was a perfect condo for beach lovers like us. It is super easy to go to the ocean right from the condo. We knew that getting a condo in the makaha area means spending some extra time on getting groceries but it hasn't prevented us from exploring the entire island as Oahu is not that large when you get a car. The condo itself features very nice TV's and fast internet, our host was very responsive to any of our needs during the stay.

Hidden Jewel Of Oahu

We had a wonderful month staying at Jain’s place. The unit is well maintained & equipped with everything we needed. Also, love the convenience of being able to step in & out of beach right from our lanai. The beach is absolutely beautiful & quiet. We enjoyed it so much that we barely did any other activities, but just relaxed there everyday. The building’s laundry room is on the ground floor as well, and can be paid & monitored via app. There is a small farmers market every Saturday about 5 minutes away with fresh vegetables, fruits, local restaurant foods & crafts. Which we enjoyed to go, as well as the large KCC farmers market by Waikiki. Can’t wait to come back again!

Quiet and on the Beach

We really enjoyed this condo. It had everything you needed and the bed was very comfortable. It did not have air conditioning and I was very hesitant, but with the tradewinds you did not need it. It was about a 45 minute trip from the airport but we liked it because a lot less people. It is right on the beach and the crashing of waves at night was amazing. I would give it 5 stars but the only downside for us was the locals put up a tent several night in front of our Lanai because they camp and fish all night. They were very quiet but we didn't like to sit out on the Lanai with them right there before bed and when we woke up in the morning. But it is a great find for the money. Loni and Tony

Life is a Beach!

This property is great! Its away from the crowds and high costs of Honolulu. You are truly experiencing Island life with the Hawaii locals. The best thing about this property is that you open the bedroom sliding glass door and you are on the beach!! I had to sweep the patio almost everyday due to the sand getting on it!! That was great! Also the beach is never crowded, it sits infront of two condo buildings and can only be accessed from the walkway to it and there isn't much public parking, maybe space for 4 cars. This keeps the beach from getting crowded. In the morning I had coffee on the patio and watched Sea Turtles swim by on their way to the feeding grounds. Everyday we saw turtles!! Having a full kitchen helps in Hawaii to save money as it can be costly to eat on the island every meal. I hope to return when my company sends me back!

A Secret Hidden GEM

The condo was clean an very comfortable. Had everything we needed, but our food. The view right outside the patio is beautiful , waves an beach.. Each day we sat on the beach an just watched the ocean, the waves come roaring in .. And the sunsets , OMG , beautiful. 3/4 locals, an 1/4 tourists which is so nice. The book you left on attractions, places to eat , places to explore they were all spot on with directions ect...... This place is Very Relaxing an Soothing for the soul this little hidden gem ... People were all friendly an helpful .. The furthest we traveled from the condo was to the Polyision Culture Center, 91 miles away .. It was a awesome drive... Can't say enough of good things about this Condo an this area the Condo is in... The locals are all very friendly , very thoughtful.....They look out for you .

keep it quiet....

...I dont want everyone to know about it. Pretty much perfect for secluded beach time in paradise....unless you are a habitual complainer or need top of the line accommodations to make yourself feel important. Not VIP or impressive conditions, and more roach traps could be placed as two rather healthy creatures were found and killed in daylight hrs......but if you don't have a stick up your butt about that, and/or you are taking your family and want the convenie,ce of staying on one of the best beaches in the world for a bargain of a price, you'll love it. We'd stay again for sure. Little extra conveniences everywhere: wifi, HD tvs w cable, Netflix, flippers, beach chairs, towels, beach umbrella, complete cooking utensils and dishes. Nuff said. Keep it on the down low!

Wonderful and Quiet Beach on Oahu

My husband and I took our granddaughter, age 15 , for a 10 day stay here. It was perfect for us! We wanted to stay away from the crowds, and we like to be able to walk out from our lanai to the beach. Perfect! From the pictures it looks as if there would be hundreds of people around, since the cabanas and the condos next door are both high risers, but that was not the case at all. Most were not occupied. On the weekends the beach is more crowded, but still way less crowded than other beaches on Oahu. Our condo was clean,comfortable, and has everything you need (except for a small cooler, which we bought and left in the bedroom closet). We snorkeled all over the island, as well as in front of the condo. Toward the big rock you see in the picture is nice! We used the outdoor grills and the washer and dryer, both located nearby. The locals were friendly, and the staff at the condo always greeted us warmly. Janis was always able to answer our questions promptly, as we were preparing for the trip. I would recommend this condo to all of my friends who dislike hotels, and enjoy staying in a comfortable, relaxing environment. Joe and Susan Mahan

Very disapointed!!!

What a nightmare!! We had booked this condo almost a year before we went, It was supposed to be a wonderful and RELAXING holiday for a whole month! A celebration for our 35th wedding anniversary. Imagine our disgust and complete disappointment when we arrived close to midnight after a long day of a two separate flights, we opened the door to a PIG STY! Honestly it was horrible. (I have photos and videos for proof). There was NO way we could stay with the garbage, filth, unmade bed, dishes, food in the fridge, black hairs all over the toilet, it was really very, VERY gross. I am a Realtor and have been in the profession for 25 years, I know what is acceptable and this clearly was not even close. I did get a hold of Janis and after sending her some photos for proof, her solution was to suggest we pull out the couch and sleep there. REALLY? We couldn't even use the bathroom as it was disgusting! So off we went to find a Hotel which if you do not know the area, there really are not any! We finally did arrive at one at 2:30 am and after paying a couple hundred dollars for a few hours sleep (I have the receipt) we finally got to bed. Janis promised the Housekeeper would be done by noon the next day. So now with our next day ruined by waiting for the housekeepers to finish (It was early afternoon) we drove around with our luggage and groceries from Costco for quite a few hours. We did arrive back to a clean condo and it did then look similar to the photos posted, (except the housekeeper took most of the towels and we were left with TWO towels for a week before they were returned) Another feature Janis neglects to mention is the horrible smell in the condo, I haven't yet figured where it was coming from and what exactly it is. Also for your enjoyment, there is a yappy small dog in the condo upstairs who loves to bark each time you step out onto the lanai. Not exactly the relaxing vacation!! Over the next few days we had frustration after frustration, no internet code for our iPad/phones, then the fridge breaks down with a fridge FULL of food, the solution offered by the owner was not satisfactory at all. After getting to know the locals I guess our experience is NOT the first experience like this for this condo. I love the beach and the people, We would come back to the cabanas but NOT to this one, I am not sure how this unit has a 5 star rating!

The host was excellent and the condo was very nice, the only problems we experienced was the weather didn't cooperate (cloudy and windy) and 1 night during high tide the ocean water actually entered the condo causing everything on the floor to get wet. Then to top it off, 3 days into our stay, we received a call informing us that my wifes brother had passed away which caused us to return home immediately. Other than that, everything was fine!

Can’t beat the view!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and you could not beat walking out the back door straight onto the beach. It was even better to have beach chairs, beach toys, beach towels, etc. included so we didn’t have to bring them or try and find our own. The owner provided a helpful information binder so we could find things to do around the area which we definitely appreciated. The owner and manager were super easy to contact and were always prompt to answer our questions. The only thing we had an issue with was not having air conditioning and trying to sleep through the heat, but we are also used to a cold climate. Overall we loved our stay!!

12 wonderful days at Makaha beach Cababa's

Thank you Janis for providing a very clean unit. Towels, beach chairs, boggy boards, snorkels and masks, cooler and even a fishing pole. Plus more. This is a great place to stay every time we are in Hawaii. Priced well and has many things you won't need to pick up at the store. Great to see the Weber gas grill. The beach is terrific with few people and the Puka shell hunting was fun for our Granddaughter and us. If your not into the over crowded tourist areas this is the place. Highly recommend!!! We live in Michigan and have been coming to Hawaii for years.
Currently, we are both retired but because our grandchildren live in Michigan, we can't live here full-time...or we would! We can only come for about 6 weeks in the winter and so decided to share our Fabulous Condo with others.

Why they chose this property

We have been to all the islands numerous times & have stayed in wonderful hotels & time shares. Once we found the Cabanas we knew we had found the Best of the Best! We didn't have to leave in order to do all the activities we love: snorkel, dive, whale watch, beach walking and on & on!

Being in a local area, allows us to skip the crowds unless we want to take the 45 min. drive to see the sights in Waikiki, Honolulu, Pearl Harbor or the North Shore. It's great to be close enough to get to the fine restaurants, shopping & visit the famous attractions and then come back to peace & quiet!

What makes this property unique

The absolute best part is being on the main floor & just walking out on the virtually private beach. Clean water, trade winds, lapping surf - all in your front 'yard'. It really doesn't get any better than this!
