Our stay was a very quiet and nice stay. Friendly neighbors....enjoyed neighborhood firework show. Owners were always responsive when reached out too.Would definitely stay again!!

Great Amery Getaway

This is a fantastic place, especially for some peace and quiet. Our dog loved running and playing on the expansive, beautiful, and very well maintained grounds. The indoor areas were very cozy, comfortable, and nicely furnished. The location on the river is gorgeous too! Also, the host was absolutely stellar! If we’re back in the area again, we’ll be booking again without hesitation.

Good place, tough on hot days

In the very fine print it stated that there was no AC. I clearly didn’t look super closely, because I wasn’t expecting that on a humid summer day. The fans did fine, but it was toasty. The place was as shown, close to town and had great nearby wineries.

Thanks for the review! Yes unfortunately there’s nowhere easy on the platform to call out the AC. But timing wasn’t great as we just got central AC installed the next week due to how humid of a summer it’s been. So sorry the timing didn’t align there. The cottage is even more darling and serene than the photos show. The cottage is nestled amongst lots of trees, the river, some very quiet human neighbors, and lots of wildlife. As long as you’re physically able to manage stair/stairways (there is one exterior entrance that doesn’t require stairs to access it, but that door is for the basement of the home so using it requires you to be able to manage the full staircase once inside; and even if you don’t plan to access the loft, stairs inside and outside are unavoidable; guests with baby-gate needing children should consider bringing them along so relaxation can ensue), this cottage is a perfect space to spend a long weekend.
