We spent three weeks on a working vacation in this lovely home, enjoying its high-quality interior design and views of the dramatic coastal bluffs that make Sea Ranch so special. Just 15 feet from the back door, we could step onto the Bluff Trail. We loved watching the early morning fog cloak the distant coastline and beaches, then gradually lift as the sun rose. The sunsets were fabulous, too. We could enjoy it all through the huge south- and east-facing windows or simply walk out the back door. Pelicans, harbor seals, deer, quail, and myriad other birds abound. Nature is abundant, stunning, awesome. The location is convenient for grocery shopping in Gualala, and visiting local attractions, trails beyond Sea Ranch, and restaurants that are within an hour or less drive. If you plan to explore Sea Ranch’s many trails, stop by the Sea Ranch Association Center on Annapolis Road for a map.A few practical notes for future guests: There are no ceiling fans, and the house can get quite warm on sunny days. A floor fan was provided, which we used to draw in cooler air and circulate it through the large living space. We were fortunate to have mostly sunny weather during our stay, so we lowered the blinds in the afternoon and opened the smaller windows beneath the large viewing windows. The kitchen had only one container for leftovers, so we bought a few additional storage containers.Would we return for another working vacation? Absolutely.

Great location and view. Fireplace and heated floors not working was disappointing especially for the price point - and doesn’t seem like it’s a new issue.

An amazing place!

This was our fourth rental at Sea Ranch and our first right on the coast. The stormy waves were LOUD, but we really enjoyed this different and up-close vantage on the sea. The house is spacious and spectacular, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the beds were comfortable. We hope to come back!
