A little smaller than my impression from the pix. Every appliance but a dishwasher & toaster-oven. Google Maps place it east of Hwy 1, but it's actually west, with a great location right on the ocean bluff. No beach access within walking distance, but a half-mile bluff trail. One block walk to a couple of nice restaurants. Lucky you!

The location of this property was excellent, and the ocean views were fabulous. The home and kitchen were well-equipped. Nice big screen TV. Good internet. Lots of pots and pans, dishes, glasses, utensils, etc. Comfortable beds. Nice deck. The listing was a little ambiguous regarding the number of bathrooms -- there are two full bathrooms, one with a walk-in shower, and one with a shower over tub. On the negative side: It smells a little musty, but that is to be expected considering the proximity to the ocean. Closet space is limited; so, it might be nice if the owners were to install some hooks in the bedrooms to add hang-up options. One of the bathrooms did not have towel racks; so, again a few hooks or a towel rack would be a nice addition. I would stay here again.

This house was a fantastic stay, my friends and I loved the view and how walkable shops and trails were! The kitchen was well equipped with cooking appliances and tools, but there is no oil, salt, or pepper so just be sure to bring your own.

Great location for folks wanting to be able to walk to cafes and restaurants. Sitting on the deck with the view of the Pacific Ocean was relaxing. If you stay here I recommend bringing in the seat covers at night so they will not be soaked by the marine layer overnight. We had a lovely time at The Lucky Ewe.

The view is beautiful! The living room is laid out nicely, with one side for enjoying the view and the other for TV entertainment. The kitchen is well equipped. There are actually two bathrooms, one more than advertised. Markets and restaurants are in easy walking distance. The Mexican bakery next to the supermarket is terrific, as is the Mexican and pizza restaurant next to it. The bluff trail along the river between the house and the ocean was a nice walk for our dog. It is only a short drive to free beach access at Walk-on Beach and Shell Beach. Overall, it is a great place, and we would stay here again.

Gualala stay

Loved the house, clean and well stocked with the essentials. The view from the living room was true beauty, the first night the heavens were beautifully aligned, in one picture you had sand, surf, moon and Venus. Would definitely stay again.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful, amazing weekend stay. Gorgeous ocean view. We appreciated that the home was well-stocked and the home supplies(linens, towels, kitchen stuff, shower stuff) were not bargain-basement supplies. There were binoculars, puzzles, paperback books, DVD movies, Keurig coffee maker, drip coffee maker... Host was quick to respond to questions. It was heavenly getting massages while listening to the waves break. My only complaint, and it is a very small one, is that when I asked the host about what kind of coffee maker and whether there was a DVD player, the "host" responded that the coffee maker was Keurig and that there was no DVD player, which wasn't the case, so I needlessly purchased Keurig pods and did not bring our own DVDs to watch movies. The responses came from a "Grand Welcome Sea Ranch", which makes me think they have never actually been in the property and someone was just reading from a checklist. That inconvenience aside, we had a wonderful time.

Excellent location. Had a great time.

Stayed here with my wife and dog. Can comfortably fit a family of four no problem though. Its a nice, comfortable, and cozy house. The value of this listing is the location and view however. We bbqd on the back patio, with a view of the ocean. Tough to beat that. Will be staying again.

Until Next Time

Our stay was too short, something we will remember and remedy for our next stay. This is a lovely property with an expansive and relaxing view of the Pacific Ocean. Gualala is ingrained in my youth, and this house brings all those fond memories back. You’ll enjoy your stay, that I’m sure.

Excellent location but smelly

Excellent location but when I entered the property, there was a strong musty smell throughout the house. The smell pretty much disappeared while I was there. But when I got home, clothes smelled like mold.

The location is amazing, the view, the ability to walk to grocery and dining options. The kitchen is well stocked to be able to cook meals. The bedrooms are a little tight for space but the beds were pretty comfortable. The shower head needs definite replacing, it sprays water everywhere. And I would honestly consider an update on the furnishings. But otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Great Location But...

The property has a great location but is in desperate need of decluttering and updates. The most worrisome of the needed updates was all rusty fixtures in the bathroom. Other furniture inside and outside was quiet uncomfortable as well with stains. The bed was clean and comfortable but the rooms were overall really stuffy. All the appliances existed but I was surprised to see no coffee pod or coffee at all Also Google maps doesn't take you to the house directly but across Highway 1 on Ocean Dr. I really hope they can improve this wonderful property.

landscaping disaster

Whoever is NOT doing the outside maintenance needs to be fired! All of the plants are in severe need of WATER, pruning, and area cleanup! I personally watered the 5 rhododendrons with a pot from the kitchen. The two cherry trees are very close to Death, due to lack of water and care!! Black berry bush vines are choking a lot of the vegetation. If I were the owner of this property I would be pissed! The first impression when arriving is not a good one!

Absolutely disgusting! The smell was nauseating so we tried airing it out for 4 days. It still smelled. The window sills are filthy. Didn’t even want to touch the window to open it to sit out the smell. We left a day early because of the filth and dark and dreary bedrooms. When they say the supplies are minimal, they mean it. From toilet paper to towels. Bring your own blankets because those stink too. The bed we were going to sleep in had dirty sheets with hair on it. The yard is just as bad as the house. Landscape and bushes not cared for.
I have no idea what’s on the floor except possibly ant killer. Not good if you have a dog with you!
