Very nice place and truly easy walking distance to the beach! Check in was smooth and the hosts were great! The cabin was in a quiet spot but close to fun activities, restaurants and other beaches.

Beautiful property, amazing bathtub, and the location couldn't be beat. Had everything we needed, and all the skylights add a beautiful amount of natural light. Rosemary was so kind, checking us in and leaving us a card, as we were celebrating a combination anniversary/baby moon. It was a truly wonderful weekend.

This was my second time staying here since 2021--I would've been back sooner, but this lovely place gets snatched up quickly, and rightfully so. This is a well-furnished cottage, complete with everything you could need and then some; comfortable beds; shower with great water pressure; lovely natural lighting; and mere steps away from the private beach. A lovely cottage in a beautiful location. True to the listing, the cottage is directly by a set of beach steps, which put you directly out onto a private beach available for renters use. The beach is on a beautiful stretch of the lake shoreline.The surrounding wooded neighbourhood is very scenic, and has a local relaxing quiet beach vibe. There is more 'bustle' in the nearby towns of New Buffalo, St Joesph's etc which are close by. New Buffalo is also connected to Union Pier by a multi-use pedestrian path, so biking from the cottage there, or biking/walking to some of the coffee shops/restaurants in Union Pier is also an option right from the cottage. Amenities in the cottage covered all of our needs, which is likely to cover yours also. There is an outdoor shower at the back of the cottage which is an excellent touch for getting everyone de-sanded after the beach! Had a great time during our stay, which was during the quieter season in late September. Would definitely book again without hesitation.

This is our 3rd time staying here. We love it and will probably be back again in the near future. We really enjoyed our stay and definitely will be back again. The place was extremely clean, well-organized, and full of charm, with beautiful antiques that are around 100 years old. It was also very close to the beach, which was a big plus.This is a great choice if you’re looking for a small, affordable VRBO and appreciate antiques and a unique, historic feel. Although the space is on the smaller side, it is exceptionally clean and thoughtfully organized.A few things to keep in mind: this property may not be the best fit for guests with mobility issues or those who have difficulty climbing into a high bed or stepping over the tall side of the bathtub. Also, because of the antiques and the care taken with the space, it may not be ideal for families with very active, rough-and-tumble children. Also if you want a no contact with a person check in then look somewhere else bc this has an old school key and Rosemary goes over everything about the place in person.Overall, if you appreciate antiques, value cleanliness and organization, and want an affordable place close to the beach, this could be a wonderful little getaway!

The cottage was very quaint and cozy. Perfect for our weekend trip and it had everything we needed. Rosemary is a wonderful host; she greeted us when we arrived and took the time to show us the ins and outs of the cottage. She was very responsive to all our questions and requests. Lastly, the cottage is literally just steps from Lake Michigan.
