If quite from the City living is what you need? This is the place. It is so serene and quite you hear yourself thinking. Fishing is good or just sit on the dock and enjoy more silence. Gary the host goes out of his way to ensure you have a good experience. Highlights for us were, fishing, seeing a family of loons go by us while on the dock, it was so amazing, star gazing with Gary and seeing his observatory was great since Gary has such knowledge of the Universe.
We Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Farm Lake. Everything was exactly as advertised; great swimming, beautiful cottage, excellent fire pit and super secluded. Plenty of room for our family who came up for a couple of days as well. (we pitched a tent.) Thanks again to Gary who also gave us a peek at the sun (through his special telescope), as we had never seen it before. It was surprisingly awesome. Thanks again Gary.
Great time at Gary's. This is our second visit to the cottage. It has all the makings of a fun cottage getaway - all you need is clothes and food! The lake was divine and we had a chance to go canoeing and enjoy lots of swimming. The cottage is situated in a shady neck of woods which is great for the summer. There were less fans than last year, which are so necessary for the heat and the cottage could have used a deeper clean from past guests. Otherwise a great location and excellent host.
Very obliging and helpful host with incredible knowledge about the skies. Convenient log home with comfortable amenities indoors, an outdoor fire area and canoes to tour the lovely lake. A wonderful stay!
Gary's cottage is beautiful and rustic with loads of charm! The lake is quiet and perfect for paddling - lots of wildlife to see. Gary is super nice and helpful and very accommodating and accessible. We had a great time at the gem of a property and plan on returning!
We are very impressed by the cottage. We are very thankful for the friendly treatment, spacious house, and lovely deck. And lots of extras like the night sky.
Very relaxing time with family in quiet and peaceful cottage. Nice fishing.
Gary made us feel very welcome. Really enjoyed the stargazing and the views of the meteor shower
