I have never been more pleased with a place to rent in Hocking Hills! The Patriot Lodge was fantastic! Tucked away in the woods but still easily accessible. The back decks are like a private oasis in the trees. A very nice solo stove made for peaceful mornings on the lower deck, with comfortable Adirondack chairs and nice lighting. We didn't have to burn through a lot of wood, as the solo stove is super efficient and nearly smokeless. What a treat to not have to dodge constantly moving smoke. The hot tub sits under a gazebo so was still enjoyable when it was raining. The kitchen is out of this world and only adds to the beauty of this place. The pool table provided night time fun and everyone was able to enjoy their favorite shows in bed, as each room has its own tv. Literally nothing I would change.. other than leaving! We didn't want to go home! Will definitely be booking here again!

The house was overall very nice. Mostly clean (though the floors could have used a mopping). Only things to point out would be the lack of coffee mugs (only 3 when the house sleeps 10) and the toilet paper holder in the upstairs bathroom is broken and frustrating. The shower downstairs was super nice and it was a great distance from all the activities we wanted to do.

Patriots Lodge was a perfect set up for our bachelorette party weekend! Lots of space for 8 women. The host was very quick to respond to any of my questions. Everything was clean, lots of room for parking, extra towels was a bonus for our group. The only bummer we had was we needed to buy ice and didn't know that until after the fact. They did provide an ice maker but it didn't work. We would definitely come back again!

We loved our stay! We appreciated the amount of space this home provided. We spent some time outside on the huge deck area. Outside it’s quiet and peaceful with a covered area to enjoy even when it’s raining. The stairs to the lower level are challenging as they are spaced out. The kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of space for the whole family to eat a meal. The shower on the lower level was amazing! We would recommend this home to anyone.

The kitchen was well stocked with utensils. No ice maker in the fridge. There was a tabletop one but it didn’t work. With others the complaint of the stairs was accurate when sleeping in the loft, going down all those stairs to to use the bathroom was a pain. The one on the second floor was in the other guests room. The hosts didn’t get back to me when questioning about parking. Rooms were clean and the atmosphere was perfect. Hot top was sanding but we still enjoyed it

Soon after arrival we learned that the furnace was not functioning and the technician was not available to fix it until the next morning! But have no fear! I’m not sure who all I communicated with via text, email and phone, but by nightfall we had four brand new oil radiators for heat! Great team work! AND the service worker got the furnace working for the rest of our stay. Patriot Lodge is a nice, clean, older, 3-level home with lots of space! Ground floor presents a sofa and loveseat, a pool table and two bedrooms (Q beds) with a jack-n-jill bath. Upstairs you’ll find two queen beds and downstairs is the large kitchen, family room and 3rd bedroom, along with a full bath. Off the kitchen is a lovely back porch, wonderful hot tub and a sitting area with a fire pit available for use. PL was located very close to all trails (except Cantwell) which made our travel time very short. As noted in several other reviews, GPS may take you to a house further down the street. If you just follow the house/mailbox numbers you should arrive at the correct destination!“Kindred Spirits” is an awesome restaurant which I would recommend to all who have the time to relax and enjoy the food and ambiance. You may need reservations.The three of us enjoyed our stay at PL, but because of the two sets of stairs, we would not recommend it for people with mobility issues or families with small children. Another suggestion is to get a rubber mat for the j-n-j bathroom/shower floor.

We had a delightful time enjoying the outdoor walks, fire pit and hot tub and then returning to the comforts of a fully equipped house for our Thanksgiving dinner, games and a movie! Only addition would be more coffee cups :).
