This was such a cozy place. The neighborhood very child friendly. We enjoyed walks around, seeing trout in the water and waking up to the snow falling. The host was good at getting in touch with us when we had a question. The house was very clean and we hope to stay again soon!

Cute place for two people

The rental was a cute place for two people. However, and this is no fault of the hosts as it shows a picture of it.... I just wasn't observant.... But the rental has a mini fridge, not a full size. I didn't realize that until we got there and we're unloading a few groceries we purchased before arriving. Just wanted to mention it to hopefully help other people realize that!Otherwise the rental was clean and nothing was broken. I would recommend the hosts to get a multi strip for the outlet behind the bed. My husband didn't have an outlet available on his side of the bed to charge his phone at night. The bed was a little former than I would usually like, but again was clean and nice bedding. I would also recommend a guestbook for this rental! It's always nice to leave entries saying things we enjoy in the area to help other travelers as well as to read what other people have done to get new ideas!

Why they chose this property

Mill Ridge is located between Boone and Banner Elk. We love the access to the river, community swimming pool, tennis courts and hiking trails. Our son was very involved in skiing and this location was central to Sugar Mountain and App Ski Mountain. This neighborhood was actually once a small ski mountain.

What makes this property unique

Though our cabin is small it is the perfect size for a family of 2 or 3. Sitting on the covered porch with a cup of coffee or glass of wine while the fire table is lit is like no other.
