This was probably the best VRBO experience my wife and i have had. Very well stocked, clean and absolutely beautiful. The views are incredible, easy access to the amazing beach. The host was just wonderful. We will be back!!
Great place for a vacation. This home was warm & welcoming. Very clean, the rooms are perfect sizes. Upstairs is it's own little Oasis, with its view and little deck. My kiddo was so stoked to sleep in the front room because of the view!! The view is something from a post card, to sit there drink coffee and watch the ships come and go from the Bay is very relaxing. The sound of the ocean is soothing to the soul. I would definently recommend this home for a vacation spot.
We enjoyed the privacy and the quiet of the property. We also loved the views from the house and yard that are postcard perfect. The property owner provided excellent information about the property and things to do in the area that made our stay even more enjoyable. We're looking forward to visiting again in the future.
A lovely home on top of a rock that sits right above a secluded walkable beach. Very quiet area, dark sky’s with the Big Dipper right out the top bedroom window. Very much worth the cost.
This house is like a mid-century architectural time capsule. It has some signs of age, but it is very cool! We absolutely loved the access to what was practically a private beach, and the perfect view of the lighthouse appearing and then disappearing into the fog. We are so glad we booked this house!
The pictures online don't do this home justice. The view from the upstairs deck is breathtaking and so peaceful! Every morning from the upstairs we would watch the waves crash on the beach and the local wildlife; birds, pelicans, and even seals on one day. The full kitchen, dining room, living room are spacious as promised. The house was very clean and well stocked. The direct beach access was an amazing bonus! For two people who are NOT very active, we managed the switchbacks with a gentle incline well enough. The beach is also private and blocked from the wind. The location to town amenities as well as other local towns and sites was perfect. They do provide three camp chairs, but we love bringing our Tommy Bahama chairs for the beach and we also used them upstairs, would highly recommend bringing your own.
The views are spectacular and the location is perfect, although too far from my real home. I loved sitting on the private deck and looking at the lighthouse and waves.
Home is very clean with nice linens, books and equipped kitchen.
Beautiful, comfortable home. Stunning inside and out. Loved the direct access to beach, which we usually had to ourselves. Appreciated the well-equipped kitchen.
What a wonderful place to relax and have plenty to do! Beach walks to State Park hikes. Very peaceful and beautiful. This home pulls in all the surrounding beauty while being quite comfortable! We explored tide pools, watched the waves and walked through the beautiful and unique Shore Acres close by. Plenty of eateries to choose from too. Very quiet and a great getaway!
Gorgeous house loved to watch sunsets and sunrises from the house. Great beach access and close to a private beach. House was clean, well stocked and ready to go. I would say the pictures don’t do it justice it was way better than what I expected.
Although we visited the Oregon coast for a sad occasion, this place was exactly what we needed for a restful get away & escape. The location is amazing, as close as you can get to Sunset Bay Beach without camping. The property was exactly as advertised, only better. The information about the area really made us want to come back! So helpful & all on point, based on the few places we were able to visit. As a vertically impaired woman I loved the kitchen view, my hubby was too tall, I just channeled grandma and took it all in. We moved the chairs around so many times, when the lighthouse peeked out of the fog, when the chubbiest hummingbird I have ever seen visited, it was all spectacular. Thank you for sharing your family’s Oregon coast home, please let us come back!
My daughter and I drove out from Arizona. It was her graduation present from me. The house was absolutely beautiful with an amazing view. There are so many beautiful state parks and hikes in the area. We felt very safe and had an amazing time. The host is amazing and we checked in a night early, be sure to check out golden and silver Falls, which is an hour from the house. Absolutely beautiful!!!! We loved this house and will be back!!!!
The house sits high above a beach with sand and tidal pools and rocks. A lovely place. The trail down is constructed switchbacks keeping it from being too steep for access. House is very nice with great views from most rooms. State parks and small town very convenient. Great.
We loved staying at this property! It was absolutely perfect! The views were amazing! We would for sure recommend this property and would love to stay again. God bless this house!
The house is as it's presented on the site. Very clean. Well equipped and furnished. And the views are spectacular. Unobstructed views of the ocean and the lighthouse. Quiet area. The path to the ocean was well laid out, but a bit narrow. As long as you watch foot placement (wait to look at the view), it's an easy walk. Pictures don't do the upstairs area justice. Incredible. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking. The only knock on the place was the downstairs tub/shower. There's no texture on the tub bottom, and no mat supplied, so showering in there requires constant awareness of the possibility of a slip. There is a bar, but that's only needed AFTER a slip. That being said this will be our "go to" in Coos Bay for future visits.
