Beautiful Creekside Country Home with EV Charger
Edelweiss is a lovely 2 acre country home on the banks of beautiful Smith Creek, just 3 miles from downtown Wimberley. This spacious home is great for families or friends with an open layout and custom kitchen. The home boasts 2.5 baths, 3 bedrooms (king, queen, and two bunk beds), plus a large game room with a pool table and 2 additional twin beds. The large fenced yard is great for kids and pets with horseshoe pits, a badminton net, fire pit, hammock, picnic table, expansive deck and charcoal grill. The home backs up to Smith Creek with a scenic view of the creek just below the backyard and lovely stone steps down to the water. We think you'll love this house!
The name Edelweiss belongs to a delicate white flower made famous in The Sound of Music. From the morning songs of the chirping birds to the evening orchestra of the frogs and toads along the creek, the Hill Country is definitely alive with the sound of music! Enjoy the creek behind the backyard, watch the deer as you sip your morning coffee, strum your guitar beside the fire, challenge your friends to a game of pool, have a family BBQ on the gorgeous back deck, snuggle up by the fireplace, or lounge in the hammock. There's something here for everyone!
We are environmentally conscious and offer a level 2 EV charger, recycling, compost, eco-friendly soaps and cleaning products, recycled paper products, and a reverse-osmosis filtration system for drinking water.

Creek note: Smith Creek is a spring-fed year 'round creek, however creek levels and flow can be affected by periods of drought. When full, the creek is great for swimming directly behind the house and is about 5'-6' deep. We cannot control nature, though, and cannot guarantee that the creek will be swimmable during your stay. It's an amazingly gorgeous spot no matter what the water level may be!

This house was perfect for us. We used all the bedrooms and it was great for our young grandkids- lots of room to romp.It was clean and had plenty of linens. We were in town for a big 3 day wedding event and we were within 15 min of everything. Great host and communication.
Our stay was exceptional !! We loved the house , so clean, cozy and plenary of room. Our view of the country was so beautiful, the backyard had so many entertainment features. From BBQ, volley net, horse shoe game and more. Will definitely stay again.
We had a great time here! The place was bigger than we expected and very clean and neat. They had everything that we needed. Wimberly was a great family experience over all. We would highly recommend staying here. It was very close to everything also. Very convenient. Hope to go back next year!
Overall, the house is spacious, clean and there is great communication by the hosts. The pool table, badminton and backyard space were wonderful amenities. The down-side to the home is that it sits right on Highway 3237 which is a busy highway so there is a lot of road noise both inside the home and backyard.
Only reason for giving this place 4 stars instead of 5 was because we felt The kitchen could have been more equipped with essential items like paper goods, paper towels, more dish cloths, serrated knives, and more larger coffee mugs. Maybe even a few essential spices. But the place was great for our purpose of a girls getaway. Especially around the campfire pit. Horse shoes and hammock were great too. Easy access in to town for shopping and dining. Great little place. We would stay there again.

For future guests we just want to highlight that we leave a roll of paper towels and ample kitchen towels for our guests and we have a really nice forged steel knife set in the kitchen for our foodie guests (just not serrated ones). We also leave a bag of coffee from our local roaster, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Hope that helps for future trip planning! :)
Perfect destination for families to reconnect and relax. Spacious accommodations with everything you need. Beautiful secluded location with easy access to a creek from the backyard yet only minutes from all the attractions of Wimberley. Would definitely stay here again.
This was the second visit to this home and once again it did not disappoint. The home is spacious, clean and well equipped with anything you may need. There are laminated instructions around the home about everything (TVs, trash, composting, details about local dining, entertainment, etc.). The hosts have thought about everything. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
The house was as beautiful and spacious as it appears in the pictures, with a big fenced in yard with plenty of chairs and games. Great location, about 5 minutes from the Blue Hole and downtown Wimberley. The hosts were very friendly and responsive. Definitely recommend!
Wonderful vacation home. Plenty of room for 6 adults and I kiddo. We enjoyed everything about the house. It was clean, kitchen was well stocked and everything was labeled. The hosts are definitely pros! They have thought of everything!
House was nice. Everyone enjoyed the pool table. Couldn't spend much time outdoors, it was just to hot. The backyard accommodated the dogs well, liked that it was fenced in. Short drive to town, enjoyed Wimberly.
We stayed at this lovely home back in 2022 and I was so excited to see it available when planning my trip to Wimberley. Our second stay was just as great as the first and we’ve become quite fond of the house. I’m sure we’ll be back!
I just can’t say enough good things about this house. From the location to the entertainment, we had such a relaxing stay. The amenities provided entertainment to our sons and their friends while my husband and I were able to just relax. The location couldn’t be better as it is minutes from Blue Hole and Wimberley. It was clean and comfortable. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Jennifer and Gregory love living in in the picturesque village of Wimberley and sharing their unique vacation rentals with their guests. Gregory is a woodworker and his handiwork is evident in each of their vacation homes. Jennifer is an art teacher and teaches small classes out of the studio behind their home. They have a large garden, chickens, cats, and two lovely daughters.
Why they chose this property
This property has such a special place in our hearts. With the hilly terrain and beautiful creek we feel like we have our own little slice of hill country heaven. We strive to keep our property as natural as possible, especially the riparian area around the creek. Our guests often see foxes, deer, a variety of birds, and other wildlife. We even have a blue heron that likes to fly over the creek each morning.
What makes this property unique
This home is the perfect gathering spot for families and groups of friends. The spacious living area, gorgeous renovated kitchen, and large backyard complete with horseshoes, badminton, a charcoal grill, and fire pit make it an easy place to have fun, relax, and reconnect. The yard is fenced for the safety of little ones and pets, but just behind the fence is lovely Smith Creek. We host many groups coming to Wimberley for weddings, girls' weekends, summer vacations, friend reunions and more. We'd love to host you!
