About the host
Hosted by Eleanor Long
I'm retired from Los Angeles County Public Health Department. I was Director of Health Education Administration, so I'm an health educator at heart. My hobbies include piano, watercolor, yoga, creative writing, gardening, swimming, and boogie boarding. I subscribe to all the performances of the LA opera, LA Phil, Pantages and Pacific Resident Theatres. I often see foreign films at the three "art" movie theaters within easy reach. Each year I see all the movies in all the categories that are nominated for Oscars.
Why they chose this property
I love living at the beach and having the great city of Los Angeles in my back yard. "My" city is amazing, and now we are developing a world-class light rail system to get me where I want to go. The bus systems are quick, helpful and easily accessed near my home. I am making a habit of using public transportation frequently. The weather is always perfect and the people are laid-back and friendly!! I feel blessed to be where I love to be with people I love to be with!!
