NoMA area house

Great location to metro and close to several grocery stores and restaurants. House was as described in the listing. We loved the house and convenience. The only issue we had was just the noise from outside. We might just not be use to a more urban environment but you could hear traffic and people outside.

This VRBO was an excellent property to stay at. Very clean and well-maintained, within walking distance to many restaurants and amenities, incl. a bike path. I would happily book again when returning to DC!

Nice place

House was very clean, nicely decorated and great location. There is a tenant in the basement so there are quiet hours in the morning and evening. We also had a bit of a heat issue since we were there during the winter… The homeowner was attentive and provided space heaters.

Friendly and Welcoming Feel

We had a wonderful stay at this home in Washington, D.C.! The house was immaculately clean and provided a comfortable space to relax after a day of exploring the city. The walkability to the metro station made getting around super convenient, and we loved seeing so many people out walking their dogs—it gave the neighborhood a friendly and welcoming feel. One thing to note is that there is only one TV in the home, but we were so busy enjoying the city that it wasn’t an issue for us. Overall, it was a great stay, and we would definitely book again!Thank you for a fantastic experience!

DC Gem

This gem in the beautiful capital/Eckington neighborhood is a treat for DC visitors. It was scrupulously clean, smelled clean, and every inch is carefully arranged without unnecessary clutter. The towels are plush, the linens are crisp, and the duvets are soft. This high-ceilinged beauty provided perfect comfort and tons of space for three professionals attending a conference at the Washington Convention Center. It is slightly over a mile from the center, but we decided against walking because we weren’t experienced with busy intersections. However, our rideshares came quickly and the cost was from seven to 25 per ride. There’s a wonderful market with sandwiches, wine, and snacks less than a block away and a bagel store just beside it. It’s difficult to describe just how beautiful this home is, but we’ll just say it was a privilege to be able to rent it. A special thank you to the owner for their minimal presence in the process. We were treated like adults who would respect the property and that is what we did.

Poor management. Over priced.

I am a 24 year renter of VRBO, and a previous VRBO owner/ manager. Owner advertises “Sleeps Eight”. But realize that ANY guests over 3 people are charged a supplement per person PER NIGHT. In my opinion, this IS NOT a premium home in a premium neighborhood. Living room has inadequate seating for 3 in the only room with a TV. NO extra toilet paper, or paper towels. NO dishwasher detergent… NO garbage cans to dispose of household trash. Windows malfunction, and master bed window was stuck open. I cannot recommend this home in good conscience.

We love sharing insider tips so guests can experience the city like a local—whether it’s finding the best coffee at Union Market, enjoying nearby restaurants and shops, or planning a day at the Smithsonian museums, the U.S. Capitol, or the National Mall. The location makes it easy to get around, with the NoMa–Gallaudet U Metro Station (Red Line) and Union Station Metro and Amtrak just a short walk away. Why they chose this property

This neighborhood stood out to me because it offers the best of both worlds—vibrant city life and a strong sense of community. Just steps from Union Market, guests can enjoy artisan food halls, local markets, and cultural events that make this one of the most exciting parts of Washington, D.C. It’s also close to great restaurants, coffee shops, and entertainment, all within a lively but walkable setting.

Getting around is simple and convenient. The NoMa–Gallaudet U Metro Station is less than a 10-minute walk, and Union Station Metro and Amtrak are nearby, making it easy to explore Capitol Hill, the National Mall, the White House, Smithsonian museums, and downtown D.C. The area is perfect for guests who want easy transit access combined with a fun, authentic neighborhood atmosphere.

What makes this property unique

This home combines comfort, convenience, and location in a way that’s hard to match. Recently renovated, it features spacious bedrooms, bright natural light, a fully equipped kitchen, and a welcoming living area that’s perfect for relaxing after a day in the city. Guests often comment on how thoughtfully the space is designed, with high-speed Wi-Fi, quality bedding, and modern amenities that make their stay easy and enjoyable.

A standout feature is the private parking space, which is rare in Washington, D.C. The home is also within walking distance to both the NoMa–Gallaudet U Metro Station and Union Station Metro and Amtrak, giving quick access to Capitol Hill, the Smithsonian museums, the National Mall, Georgetown, the White House, and Reagan National Airport.

What makes this place special is how it balances city convenience with the warmth of a true home—modern, comfortable, and perfectly located for exploring everything Washington, D.C. has to offer.
