Perfect location for Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg/Smoky Mountains

We had never been to the Smoky Mountains and this trip was a last minute decision. I wasn't sure how close the areas of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg were and we knew we wanted to spend time in both. This house was less than 15 minutes away from both smack dab in the middle plus super easy access into the national park. The roads leading to the cabin itself were a bit scary - they are steep and narrow. The cabin was exactly as pictured in the ad and was super cute in real life. The only small issues we had (which were not deal breakers, just something for the owners to look into) is the wifi is very weak unless you are in the main area of the cabin so that was an issue sometimes, the bed/mattress was one of those super noisy ones where every time you roll over or get up you wake up your partner due to all the squeaking, and the bed pillows were very uncomfortable. Again, not super terrible, but enough for us to complain about sometimes. Overall, we were very pleased with this rental.

DISSAPPOINTED FOR SURE

We booked our son and his new wife in this cabin for their honeymoon during the week of Christmas. The reservation process was not good . Nothing extra was offered for a "honeymoon" and only a small tree was provided for the cabin for decoration . It snowed and the road to their cabin was blocked by stalled vehicles and then closed by EMS. They had to spend two nights in a hotel. I understand no one can control the weather but expected a plan for this type of situation - maybe a private service to clear road?? The cabin was nice, as listed and would have been nicer if they could have enjoyed it. So if you are considering this cabin - watch weather conditions and if snow is expected - take this into consideration.. They were also told they could get their stuff from the cabin after check out time but when they made the trip to the cabin, their stuff was gone - but was at the management office. They could have called and told them . .

Loved the cabin but the cleaning crew needs to be fired

We absolutely loved the cabin. It was everything we wanted, private and spacious. We loved the movie theater room and the hot tub and overall size of the cabin was perfect. Just make sure to bring a lighter or pick one up when you buy firelogs because you will not find one in the cabin. The bed in the master bedroom needs to be replaced as it is not super comfortable and squeeks loudly every time you roll over but the only real problem we had was that it was not cleaned as well as it should have been before we arrived. We actually had to make a trip to Walmart to buy a new shower curtain (the one in the shower was moldy and slimy and of course I didn't realize this until I was already taking a shower...YUCK) and buy a new sponge for the kitchen since the one provided was dirty and smelled bad. We also purchased new ice trays because the ice trays in the freezer probably have never been washed, they smelled bad as well. I think if there is a filter in the fridge it has never been changed and definitely needs to be as it does not smell that great either. The cleaning crew definitely needs to be re-trained or replaced, as these are things that should've been caught prior to our visit. Overall a great visit but these cleaning issues definitely need to be addressed.
