Property was extremely clean and very well represented in the listing, honestly even more room than I was expecting! So quiet and perfectly located just far enough from the city center. We do this little getaway every year for Laconia and it was a perfect distance from Weir’s Beach for a nice little ride in and out.

Stacia, It was an absolute pleasure hosting you all!!!
We have a great venue in Gilford for summer concerts for your next trip. We would love to host you again.
Overall, the house is very nice and provides for all the basic needs. Some things have been overlooked, such as providing an adequate number of hangers in the closets and a drying rack for hand-washed dishes in the kitchen. Also, there wasn't a single sharp knife in the kitchen, In general, the kitchen was not adequately equipped.

Thank you for sharing this Peter. This is a new listing and we apologize that you felt the kitchen knives weren’t efficient. We will make sure we update them and check on closets for hangers. We appreciate your feedback.
This was a good, clean, solid stay for a couple who used primarily the main floor. The main floor bedroom was comfortable with an in window AC, the house had on demand, tankless hot water, and the main floor living room had comfortable couches and another in window AC. There was a definite lack of privacy on the main floor as one side of the house and bathroom lacked curtains or blinds. The house is in thick woods but I could see two windows of the neighbor’s house directly out the living room bay windows and kitchen window. The loft was a nice space but unusable due to the extreme heat Alton had during our rental. There is no central air. The house was advertised as air conditioned, which was accurate for the main floor, but the loft and basement had no AC. The basement is partially subterranean (two bedrooms) cooling the rooms off and likely making them tolerable but we expected AC and didn’t have it. The host was responsive and understood the listing issue, and should correct it moving forward. There was a lower floor laundry, which was helpful and we used it before we left. The main floor dining room table wasn’t used as the chairs were an old timey swivel type design, which felt as if it would fall apart. The barstools were a similar design and equally unusable for me but we really didn’t need the table or bar area. There were instructions for a pellet stove, but only a gas grill with ancient propane tank were found. This rental was near family, and served our purpose.
